Chapter 128 - Ch 120: Prelude to the Fall of Asgard

As the horns of battle echoed through Asgard, the city buzzed with urgency. Soldiers hurried to prepare, the clanging of their armor and the rhythmic thuds of their boots filling the air. Orders were clear: gather at the Bifrost.

In no time, thousands of Asgardian warriors stood in formation along the rainbow bridge, their faces resolute. At the far end, Heimdall waited, his trusted sword held steady in his hands. His golden eyes scanned the horizon as he prepared for the arrival of the king.

The soldiers parted, creating a path down the center of the bridge. Odin, the one-eyed king, appeared atop his eight-legged steed, exuding an aura of unshakable authority. His presence was commanding, and he looked every bit the god of legends.

"Prepare the Bifrost," Odin commanded, his voice steady and firm.

Heimdall nodded, stepping forward. He placed his sword into the central mechanism of the Bifrost and twisted it. A soft growl echoed as the machinery engaged. A brilliant beam of multicolored light shot out from the Bifrost, stretching across the sky... but it flickered and died almost instantly.

"What happened, Heimdall?" Odin's voice was sharp with confusion. "There is no way to block the Bifrost."

Heimdall's gaze shifted, his expression darkening. Peering into the cosmos, his golden eyes narrowed as he spotted Erik. The man stood confidently, and behind him, he noticed a pot-shaped artifact that radiated unfamiliar energy.

With a heavy sigh, Heimdall turned to Odin. "It's Eirikyr," he said gravely. "He may have found a way to block the Bifrost."

Erik stood in the command center of his mothership on Mars, gazing out at the red planet's barren landscape.

Pietro paced behind him, his anger barely contained. "You let this happen!" Pietro shouted, his voice trembling with frustration. "Lilja stayed behind! She's going to fight for Asgard, and you're here scheming against them!"

They had picked him up on their way when Odin declared war on them. But Lilja while conflicted had decided to stay and fight for her homeland and protect her family.

Wanda, standing nearby, sighed deeply. "Pietro, we don't want to harm anyone, least of all Lilja," she said softly, her tone tinged with sadness. "We'll handle this, I promise. Now, please... go to your room and calm down. I'll talk to you later."

"But—" Pietro began, but Wanda's expression left no room for argument.

With a frustrated huff, he sped out of the room, leaving behind a gust of wind.

Sometimes it was amazing to see how much of child Pietro could prove to be, he was better before got that girl.

Anyway, Erik who had chosen remained silent till Pietro was throwing a tantrum, broke the silence with a quiet murmur, his voice laced with a mix of resignation.

"War against Asgard…" he began, almost as if speaking to himself. "That was the expected outcome. Odin would never willingly part with his treasures, not the Aether, and certainly not the Eternal Flame."

He let out a low chuckle, though it lacked humor. "Even if I had somehow managed to convince him to give up the Aether, there's no universe where he'd hand over the Eternal Flame. He's too proud, too possessive. That's why I needed to provoke him. Rile him up."

After all, Frigga was still alive, and Odin wasn't that depressed and enlightened old god.

'But it went almost... too smoothly.'

Cindy raised an eyebrow, "So, your grand plan was to poke the bear with a stick we saw it. Brilliant. What's the next step?"

Erik glanced at her, a faint smirk tugging at his lips. "Ensuring the bear can't make the first move. It's easier to manage chaos when you control its direction. I should thank Supergiant for that portal-blocking artifact. I only half expected it to work for Bifrost."

The Resurrected Strange confirmed that it would work, and Erik had decided to trust him on that.

Wanda, standing beside him, crossed her arms and lowered her gaze, her sadness evident. "I didn't want this," she said softly. "I was hoping Aunt Frigga would intervene... I thought she might convince Odin to give you what you wanted."

Erik turned to her, his expression softening. He placed an arm around her shoulders, pulling her into a side hug. "Yeah," he said, his tone gentle. "That would've been the ideal outcome. But knowing Odin, he'd just shut her down."

Wanda looked down, her voice barely above a whisper. "She didn't even try, Erik. I even asked her to do that with telepathy but she never responded. She was standing right there. I thought she loved me like her own daughter... but she didn't say a word. Not to you, not to Odin..."

Cindy, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up, her tone unusually empathetic. "Maybe she wanted to, but she knew it wouldn't matter. She should know Odin better than all of us, maybe something like this happened in the past as well?"

Erik exhaled, his expression darkening slightly. He knew Frigga's loyalty to Odin too well. That woman would never go against him. She hadn't spoken out when he had banished their own daughter to Hel and son to Earth; why would she challenge him now?

But for now, he chose to keep that detail to himself. Instead, he tightened his hold on Wanda's shoulder briefly, offering silent support.

Anyway, it was about time he started moving. But before that he needed to stop that peeking tom from watching what he was about to do next, his [Shield] and [Domain] came in handy for that.]

Erik turned to Cindy, his tone calm yet firm. "You remember how Wanda told us that after she annihilated the Dark Elves, she salvaged their dead bodies and the remnants of their broken ships? Well, the Chitauri are done repairing their mothership. I think it's time I wake them up to fight for me."

The preserved bodies of 658 Dark Elves were stored in a specially designed room, their lifeless forms encased in tall cryo chambers made of glass.

The chambers lined the walls like a grim tower, their surfaces glowing faintly.

Erik stood in the center, his wrist terminal glowing as he manipulated its controls.

With a mechanical hiss, the cryo chambers began to release their holds. One by one, the bodies were ejected from their capsules, falling heavily to the ground with a sickening thud.

Wanda watched from the corner of the room, her brows tightening as a wave of unease washed over her. Memories of Malekith — the king of the cursed race who had killed Erik in his previous body—flashed in her mind.

Erik's voice echoed through the chamber, commanding and unyielding. "Resurrect."

A ripple of dark energy pulsed through the room as Erik's command took effect. Slowly, the lifeless bodies began to stir. Wounds sealed themselves and dim eyes flickered with newfound life.

The Dark Elves rose from the ground, their movements slow at first, then steady and deliberate. Their once-dead forms now stood as living soldiers, their eyes burning with a cold, fierce loyalty.

Wanda's jaw tightened as she stared at them. These were the same beings responsible for so much pain, yet here they were, reborn under Erik's control.

Cindy smirked, leaning casually against the wall as she watched the Dark Elves rise to their feet, their once-lifeless forms now kneeling in front of Erik like the slaves they were.

"You know, you always look cool when you say that word," she said, her voice playful but carrying a sultry undertone. "And then see your soldiers rise. Honestly, seeing you have so much power, makes my pussy wet." She chuckled, glancing at Wanda.

Wanda rolled her eyes, her expression a mix of annoyance and disdain. "Can I kill them all just one more time?" she asked, her voice dripping with venom.

Erik laughed, stepped closer to Wanda, and rested a hand lightly on her waist. "Sure, babe. You can kill them as many times as you want, whenever you want," he said with a grin. "But how about you wait until we're done with Asgard first? They'll be useful to scare the Asgardians. Odin most of all. And that fear..." He paused, his grin widening. "...that fear will help me shorten the battle."

Wanda's eyes narrowed, but she didn't respond. Instead, she turned her gaze back to the Dark Elves, their presence still filling her with unease.

Cindy, meanwhile, let out a soft laugh and shrugged. "If Helen wasn't busy, I'd have wanted her to see this. Wonder how much it would turn her on."

The next moment, Erik grabbed Cindy's arm and pulled her toward him. She gasped, a giggle escaping her lips as she put her palm on his chest to steady herself. "Ah," she murmured, her eyes glinting with mischief.

"This horny girl!" Erik said before capturing her lips in a searing kiss. He broke it for a moment, his voice low and commanding. "Deserves a punishment." He released her hand and then spanked her ass, the sound echoing in the room.

Cindy's eyes widened as she let out a yelp, but Erik didn't stop. He captured her lips again, his hands roaming over her body as he spanked her again and again with his large hands.

Cindy could only moan into the kiss, her body pressing against his as she surrendered to the pleasure and pain.

Wanda watched them, her lips parting slightly as she felt Erik's other hand slide around her waist. His fingers cupped her breast, and she let out a sigh before leaning into him, her body responding to his touch.

But this fun, make-out session was stopped soon since Erik had to prepare for the war.
