Chapter 4 - Chapter 404: You have provoked God

Puff!

"What?!" exclaimed the startled crowd as Buzi's thigh suddenly burst open, a gruesome mix of flesh, blood, and bones splattering out. He let out a piercing howl of pain.

"Fang Yan, killing me won't change anything!"

"I've cultivated enough followers in Germany who share my beliefs! They will carry on my will. Even in my death, they'll continue to bide their time, growing stronger until they can seize the world for me!"

"This conviction is unbreakable! I am destined to be the ruler of this world!"

Booth's voice trembled as he roared his defiant words.

"Idea Stamp?"

"I never thought the concept from 'The Three-Body Problem' would actually come to life!" Fang Yan reflected after delving into Buzz's memories, finally understanding the source of Buzz's "madness."

Ever since taking power, Buzz had been striving to claim the title of the Earth Federation's leader. In his eyes, Fang Yan was nothing more than a reckless youth. Though he couldn't comprehend how Fang Yan had amassed such advanced technologies, he deemed him unworthy of being Earth's leader—of holding the fate of all humanity in his hands.

In Buzz's twisted logic, he believed that he alone should reign supreme over this world, ruling with absolute authority. Fuelled by this obsession, Buzz resorted to a technology shared by Fang Yan—brainwave implantation. He devised a scheme reminiscent of "The Three-Body Problem," implanting certain thoughts into the minds of loyalists to create an unshakable allegiance to his cause. For instance, he instructed their minds to "Obey the German Commander-in-Chief without question," effectively indoctrinating them to serve him unconditionally.

This indoctrination extended to the most heinous acts. These loyalists, under Buzz's influence, perpetrated gruesome massacres of civilians, demonstrated unwavering loyalty, and carried out horrendous acts of terrorism. Buzz's ultimate goal was to plunge the world into chaos, all while cultivating a fanatical following that would fervently sustain his distorted vision.

In his focus on water droplets, compression technology, and the Star-Level Iron Man, Fang Yan had remained oblivious to the festering malignancy growing within his own ranks. Thankfully, his newfound status as the Lord of the Universe empowered him to unearth this hidden cancer and bring to fruition the countless utopian dreams of humanity.

Puff!

"What?!" cried out Fang Yan with a mixture of surprise and disbelief as Buzi's legs and arms suddenly exploded one after another, leaving a repulsive sight of festering skin, exposed bones, and detached eyeballs. Even the seasoned chiefs, accustomed to confronting life's challenges, struggled to maintain their composure. Some covered their mouths, trying to quell the queasiness rising in their stomachs.

"Hahaha... Kill me if you wish! My legacy will persist through my devoted followers. For generations, my ideals will be imprinted in their very genes, an everlasting beacon of my rightful kingship!"

Buzi's maniacal laughter echoed through the air, a disturbing display of delusional arrogance despite his agony.

Fang Yan's lips curved into a faint smile. He ignored Buzi's taunts, allowing him to rant and rave in his torment.

As the minutes passed, Buzi's wails grew weaker, his body deteriorating into a grotesque semblance of a human form, a horrifying spectacle that captivated everyone's horrified gaze.

Just when it seemed Buzi was on the brink of death, a bewildering transformation overcame his mutilated body, the wounds miraculously healing before their eyes.

"Restored?" gasped the incredulous onlookers. In a mere span of seconds, Buzi transitioned from a mangled figure to a completely unscathed state. Buzi himself stared down at his now unmarred body, baffled and bewildered by the inexplicable reversal.

"Let me clarify, your wounds have been restored once more, but you'll relive the excruciating pain you endured earlier. Consider this a second chance to unleash your agony," Fang Yan remarked with a chilling smile, his tone suggesting a sinister delight. "However, I'll add a slight twist to the ordeal this time."

Buzi's body quivered uncontrollably, his face etched with terror.

"Perhaps you don't fully grasp the implications of my words. I possess mastery over the laws of the universe—a truth that bodes ill for you," Fang Yan stated coolly. "My initial foray into these laws entails the disintegration and reformation of matter itself. Human beings, by extension, are material entities. Every bodily function, every essence of existence, is defined by matter. This translates to my ability to dismantle your matter, snuffing out your life, and subsequently resurrecting you with a mere thought."

"Yes, you heard correctly. The entity before you is not merely the so-called Earth Lord. Humans, Earth, the solar system, the Milky Way, and indeed the entire universe are but pawns within my realm of influence."

"Unless I am mistaken, I might as well be the deity described in human tales!"

"You've defied a god!"

For the first time, fear found its way into Buzi's eyes—a sentiment echoed by the observing chiefs, who finally comprehended the source of Fang Yan's extraordinary feats.

"I…I…" Buzi stammered, his arrogance crumbling under the weight of overwhelming dread.

Fang Yan chuckled, his grin unsettling and sinister. To Buzi, it was the grin of a malevolent demon.

"Furthermore, I'd like to inform you that while restoring you, I simultaneously nullified the effects of your implanted brainwaves on those you indoctrinated."

"Whether you choose to believe it or not is irrelevant. Just know that your fate from this point onward will likely evoke sorrow and mourning among people worldwide."

Buzi's last vestiges of resistance crumbled into oblivion.
