Sero was an individual on the opposing team whose quirk [Tape] allows him to produce long strips of tape from his elbows to bind enemies, swing along buildings, and launch attacks.
-buzz- "Clever but... the plan is still in action."-buzz- Calvin radioed back.
-buzz- "Okay."-buzz- Jirou's demeanour shifted; she took a confident stance, staring down the villains who were already alert, ready for anything she could try.
In the monitoring room, the students were all wondering what was happening and the intention behind Jirou's actions. "What is she doing?"
"Is she acting as bait?"
"Wasn't that what Midoriya did?"
"Yeah, but that didn't work. Why would she do that, too?"
Momo hummed in thought, "What do you think?"
"Perhaps, it's a classic standoff." Dante shrugged.
"Standoff?" A classmate asked.
"Yes…Whoever blinks first loses." Dante said solemnly.
Jirou, careful but boldly stomped her foot forward, then her earlobe extended down to her boot, plugging the earphone jack into a speaker on her shin.
"What is she doing?" Asked the cautious yet curious villains to each other.
Their questions were soon answered. Immediately after the jack was inserted into the speaker.
*DA-DUM*
A loud, continuous, rhythmic sound wave blasted out from the speaker directly at the villains. The ground trembled and the air rippled.
Not expecting an invisible disorienting attack traveling at the speed of sound, they were caught unaware and hit by Jirou's attack.
"Ahhgh," they cried, covering their ears in a sad attempt to block out the sound waves. " I can feel it in my bones." They cried.
Their teeth chattered, their bones danced, and blood swashed. It felt as though every cell in their bodies was under the forceful hypnotic pounding of the sound waves.
Finally, Jirou stopped her attack. The villains were hunched on the floor, writhing in agony. Their ears and heads were ringing, and their bodies were tingling in an attempt to return to homeostasis. A small smile tugged on Jirou's lip, but soon after she finished, a voice sounded in her ear -buzz- "Moving in. Are you clear?"-buzz-
-buzz- "I'm clear."-buzz- she quickly responded. Immediately after, she did.
*BOOOM*
The whole floor shook as the wall to the side of the room exploded, almost disintegrating, sending dust and debris into the room, filling it, creating a cloud of dust. Deep in the dust cloud, a cold blue streak flashed past the villains.
*cough* *cough* The villains coughed, "What was that? What is happening? What is going on?" They asked, disoriented.
Like the villains, Jirou and the class in the monitoring room couldn't make out what was happening. One moment it was quiet, then the next there was a loud boom, then the room was filled with dust; it all happened too fast to understand. They watched the room intensely, almost trying to see through the smokescreen carefully to pay attention to any movement, trying to figure out what was happening.
Being a pro hero, All Might had an inclination of what could have happened, as did a few students in the monitoring room.
The dust was now slowly settling, and the scene was becoming clear. A familiar voice rang in Jirou's ear again -buzz- "Target acquired. Mission complete." -buzz-
Straight ahead of her, next to the bomb in the midst of the settling smokescreen, she could spot a familiar blue glow.
As the dust settled enough for all to see what was happening in the room. An announcement rang in from the speakers. "The hero team WINS!"
This announcement from All Might took the villains by surprise, "What? How? We haven't even had the chance to compete with the others."
"Yeah… and the bomb is okay," Sero said, turning to look at the bomb. Only to find him standing there–suited in black, surrounded by an army of broken tapes, luminous icy blue eyes, a palm resting on the bomb. Calvin Knight.
"How?!"
Iida looked around the room, spotting the newly destroyed wall, and realisation dawned on him. "The loud boom just now was you breaking the wall, creating all that dust." He accused. "And using the dust as a smokescreen, you made your way to the bomb without us noticing. Jirou was there to distract and pin us, better increasing your chances of avoiding detection."
"Oh, come on, we didn't even get to do anything." Complained Sero bitterly.
Iida bowed his head, shame written all over his face.
"That's Calvin for you. He's no fun." Dante complained to the class.
"But I must say his method was rather efficient." Complimented Yoayorozu.
"I think you mean boring," Dante whined, monotone.
Soon enough, time had passed, Calvin's team and Iida's team entered the monitoring room to the applause and praise of their classmates.
"Nicely done, guys."
"That was amazing."
All Might finally spoke, "Well done, students. You each played your roles very well... Young Iida, young Sero, given you had the advantage, it was a wise decision to set a trap and wait for the hero team.
While it is unfortunate that you didn't get the opportunity to display your skills, let this be a reminder to you. Just because you set a trap doesn't mean it will work, and having too much confidence in plan A could lead to failure. That aside, you perform admirably."
He then turned to the other team, "Now, young Calvin and young Jirou, you immediately deduced an amazing plan to neutralise your opponents, secure the bomb, and win the match. It was a plan that posed minimal risk to yourselves and secured the bomb. Turning what was supposed to be the villain's advantage into their disadvantage. You did AMAZING!"
All Might gave them each a brief critique of their performance and moved on.
It was the next team's turn, Team...
It had been a while now, and other teams have had their turn. The previous team had just finished, and once again, All Might was going to announce the next team.
All Might announced, "Alright, next teams facing each other are... Team G, Katsuki Bakugou and Mashirao Ojiro playing the role of the heroes, and team E, Toru Hagakure and Dante .D. Vongola playing the villains."
Hearing this, Dante smiled lightly before saying to Calvin and Momo, "Looks like it's my turn."
