Azier frowned as he watched the human tribe around him cheer and shout for him like he had just taken down Azrael himself.
Their smiles and joyful expressions only hit his consciousness further as he sat there and grappled with the fact he killed a small child who more than likely was feral and misunderstood.
He was furious about the entire ordeal - and here these people were just... okay with it.
What was with these humans and being okay with killing everything all the time? Sure, it was one thing to kill to eat - but it was another to enjoy the act itself. They all seemed to enjoy the act - much like Azrael and his cronies.
The appetite he had come here with faded as he backed up from the reaches of hands from the crowd of grateful mortals.
It was all too much - and instead of being cool about the situation, he reacted very poorly (in retrospect, anyway).
