The clan leader, Yujen Joshua frowned at her word and spoke,"I know you love her as much as you love our son but honey she has already made her choice and our son agreed upon it. There's no need to talk about her again".

Yujen was surprised. In his memory Aahilya always had been a smart child, perhaps way too smart for her age. But she was bright and loving so everybody loved her including him. He heavily doted upon her. So, he felt at loss when she decided to end the engagement. As a clan leader he has a greater sense of pride so, perhaps due to his pride he declared that no clan member shall be allowed to have any contact with her.

Ethan was still rubbing her cold hand but her hand grew colder and colder. Despite his attempt to keep her warm she began to look more and more pale. He panicked and before he knew, she was in his arms leaning against him. Perhaps due to his body warmth he saw her eyelashes trembling. He was overjoyed. He saw her slowly open her eyes. His heart began to beat faster and faster. She opened her eyes and frowned. Upon seeing her frown his heart suddenly calmed down.

Over these past few years he had been thinking a lot lot about their past. He had realized he had always been in love with her. He wanted to protect her. But now it was too late. He frozed upon seeing her smile. He never saw her smile that brightly again after her parents death. At that moment her eyes seemed , seemed so pure, full of gratitude and at peace. She slowly closed her eyes and never opened it ever again. As he watched her closing her eyes he felt he lost a part of him.His heart was in pain. He felt like he couldnot breath at all.
