I panted as I continued to walk. With the help of Palatine, we managed to get out of the capital. Would've liked to have looked for survivors in the castle, but Palatine claimed he didn't detect any. Still, I hoped at least one of our servants had made it out. They all had their own families to care for.
Tears dripped down my face as the sky rumbled overhead. Was this punishment from the Sky Father for the actions of my parents? But why did everyone else have to suffer?
