After that kiss, Raikū and I drew closer, but we also had moments where we fell out with one another. We would date on and off, but we'd always come back to each other's arms.
"Ahh, Amaya," Raikū moaned after a fight where we both said some nasty words that left us wounded for days.
I chuckled and kissed his long neck. "You're an idiot, Raikū."
He sighed and thrust in me again. "Your idiot though. And what about you? That venom you spat out could put a wyvern to shame."
"It's a gift," I said with a grin as my fingers traced the old scars on his back. "Now stop talking. Let's make up." I pulled him closer, my legs wrapping around his waist, urging him deeper. The tension between us had always been a volatile mix of intellectual sparring and raw, unspoken desire. Sometimes, the arguments were just foreplay.
