Mikael stepped closer, the crunch of snow beneath his boots. Ahead, two figures came closer into view. They were standing a few meters beside each other with bows in hand, a row of wooden targets lined up before them.

It was Princess Seline and Aurel.

Seline stood with ease, her bow hanging loosely at her side as if the entire exercise bored her. She looked like she enjoyed flirting with the cold more than practicing archery.

A smirk curled at the corners of her lips, the sort that would make anyone wonder what thoughts lay behind it, but in Aurel's case, it made her jaw tightened the moment she saw it.

Princess Seline tilted her head toward her, teasingly saying, "Careful, my lady. All that tension might pull more than just your bowstring."

However, Aurel offered no reply to her antics. Her eyes remained fixed on the target, fingers deftly adjusting the fletching of her next arrow. She put up a calm stance, yet the twitch in her brow cracked the illusion.
