"You feel wronged and innocent?" Frank Parker's voice, as though enveloped in frost, filtered into her ears. He suddenly laughed coldly and when he spoke again, the chill in his voice made Rebecca Kelloway shiver involuntarily.
"Rebecca Kelloway, do you think I'm unaware of all the dirty and despicable things you've done behind my back? All of this, you brought it upon yourself. Don't play the victim with me, don't pretend to be innocent. Remember, you brought all the consequences upon yourself."
