"If you don't come up on stage, I might just take your trophy away."
Faye Lister's joke caused a burst of laughter from the audience.
"Joanna Lawrence, congratulations." The artist sitting next to Joanna laughed and congratulated her. Seeing her still looking stunned, they reminded her, "Go on stage to get your award."
It wasn't until then that Joanna confirmed that she hadn't misheard earlier.
The award winner was really her.
She looked at the artist beside her and then at Faye on stage who was motioning for her to come up. Even though she had confirmed that she had won, she was still full of confusion and didn't understand what was going on.
How did she win?
She had only received a Best Actress nomination.
But there was no nomination for this award.
However, now was not the time for her to be puzzled. Once Joanna confirmed that she had won, she quickly adjusted her facial expression and headed towards the stage.
