After recovering more than half of his HP, he decided to go deeper into the metro.
Moving in a crouch between zombies was not an easy thing, but during that time Arthur began to notice how zombie senses work, for example:
They have very sensitive hearing — some zombies even reacted when he breathed from about 20 meters away. But thanks to that, he managed to avoid them many times by throwing stones or other objects far enough from them, causing even small groups of the less intelligent ones to start attacking each other.
They have weak vision — because of this he wasn't attacked by the first zombie he noticed in the metro, but he found it strange because when he was on the surface, zombies seemed noticed him from very far distances, where they couldn't hear him. So he came up with a speculation that zombies on the surface weakened by sunlight become weaker but gain better vision.
Already on the metro platform, Arthur could see around 13 zombies. Not caring about them, Arthur began sneaking toward the metro tunnel. However, when he was halfway into the metro, Arthur was attacked by a 14th zombie that Arthur couldn't notice.
Pleh!!
The zombie shouted, attacking the sneaking Arthur. Because of the sudden leap of the zombie and being knocked down by him Arthur From impact dropped his sword.
From the sudden sound, all the zombies nearby charged toward Arthur.
When the zombies started running toward him, the first one tried to bite Arthur. However, Arthur, quickly freeing himself from its grip, kicked the first zombie away and quickly stood up, lifting his sword prepared for battle.
Looking at the group of zombies, Arthur wanted to run away but there was no escape route. The remaining zombies reached him blocking his exit giving him no option but to fight.
Using [mana reinforcement], Arthur dodged the first attack from one zombie. But when he dodged one attack, two more came. With no other idea, Arthur used his gravity magic and decreased gravity around himself, which allowed him to use his fire magic to propel himself backward.
While in the air, the system window started showing him:

Returning to normal gravity, Arthur immediately rushed toward the zombies and started to run at them.
Using his ice magic, he formed eight daggers that, during attacks, froze his opponents more . However, to avoid using too much mana, Arthur attacked together with the daggers.
But even though the zombies were a bit slower, it didn't change the fact that there were too many of them, so some zombies managed to attack him. To avoid the risk of mana exhaustion, he stopped using ice daggers and started attacking zombies only with physical strength and [mana reinforcement].
As time passed, the zombies around him began dying from the cumulative damage he had dealt them.
Breathing heavily, Arthur continued moving toward the metro tunnel. Slowly, with his steps, Arthur took a heal potion and regenerated about 1/4 of his HP. After drinking the potion, Arthur was at the edge of the platform.
Jumping down, Arthur began moving to the right side of the tunnels.
After a dozen steps deeper into the tunnel, Arthur decided to take a small rest during which he could find something to use as a torch or for seeing in the dark.
After a minute or two, Arthur pulled out something that looked like a thick stick whose tip was wrapped in white cloth. Out of curiosity, Arthur decided to check this torch with [observe].

Being slightly shocked by the rank of the item, he could do nothing but laugh and tell himself in his head that his highest-rank item is a damn torch.
However, ignoring it, he decided to also check the progress of his emergency quest.

'Almost an hour already!?' Arthur couldn't do anything but fall into sudden shock.
Arthur thought more time had passed, like about one and a half or two hours. But only one had passed.
However, even though he was shocked, Arthur decided to continue forward.
Heading deeper into the tunnel, Arthur turned back.
Behind him, he noticed that on the metro platform he had been on, hundreds if not thousands of zombies had appeared, half of them already on the tracks.
Seeing that, Arthur extinguished the torch, placing it into his inventory and, using [mana reinforcement], began running deeper into the metro.
However, the zombies seemed to hear him and began running in his direction. Arthur, turning around, noticed the rest of the zombies falling from the platform and immediately running toward him. He decided to use his ice magic to create a large wall that would cut him off from the zombies. Still, he kept running without stopping.
