Chapter 27 - 26

Yu Min put Lei up against a tree. He got up and walked away from Lei.

Dai Hui also got up and followed Yu Min.

Once they got a few feet away from Lei, Dai Hui asked, "what should we do? I know we both don't want Xiao to stay here and become Lei."

"I don't know. All I know is that we have to end this case and stop whoever is doing this so hopefully Xiao can wake up from her coma and we get our Lei back," Yu Min stated.

"Ok. But let me ask this, which is strictly a what if question, what if she does defeat the villain, but she's still here?" Dai Hui asked, "I mean what if this doesn't end when she, Xiao, had planned it to end?" He had obviously thought about this.

"Well, I don't know. We can only hope that this will do the trick and we get our Lei back and Xiao's friends and family get her back," Yu Min stated as it was obvious that he was stumped by what Dai Hui had asked. He didn't know what would happen after they defeated the villain.

"Yu Min, we have to be prepared for what could happen as clearly anything can happen," Dai Hui stated.

Now, it's obvious that Yu Min and Dai Hui felt about the fact that they were fictional characters based on real people. They've been confused and concerned about it as they don't know what would happen to them after Xiao finishes the book, their life, since they were told that.

"You're right, but that doesn't mean that we don't go in with vision. We go in as if we're acting to be blind…" Yu Min stated as he continued to tell Dai Hui the plan.

Dai Hui nodded.

They went back to where they left Lei.

When they got to Lei, she was gone. They called out to her to see if she had gone somewhere to go to the bathroom or something.

"Yu Min, I think she was kidnapped," Dai Hui said.

"How can you be so sure?" Yu Min replied.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the arrow in the tree where we put Lei at," Dai Hui stated.

"Dai Hui, no time to be sarcastic," Yu Min responded as he didn't look over at Dai Hui and the tree.

"Yu Min, would you look?"

Yu Min stopped where he was and looked. His eyes widened. "Wait. I didn't hear anything or anyone. Did you hear anything or anyone?"

Dai Hui shook his head no, "but it could just be that they used a special martial art move."

"I don't think that there is a martial art move like that."

"There is, but only someone of noble status or has a master who is willing to teach them that move, but it takes years to master it."

"So, you're saying that whoever we're dealing with is of either noble status or a disciple of the master who created this move," Yu Min states.

"Yes," Dai Hui replied, "this move is rare and the master who created it has long passed."

Yu Min realized that Dai Hui knows this and no one else knows this. "Why do you know this? How do you know this?"

"The master who created this move is my grandfather. He would only teach someone his special move if he thought they were good. He had started to teach me until he got sick and passed when I was ten. My father wasn't worthy of being taught the move," Dai Hui responded, "if I remember correctly I heard from him, he taught some moves to the general's family and also offered some time to teach students. He was impressed with a student, particularly Liang Zhao."

"Your grandfather was a master?" Yu Min asked, but he mumbled, "that name sounds familiar, but why?"

"Yes. He was a master, but he was also the leader of my bandit group," Dai Hui replied.

"Ah. Ok," Yu Min said as he was still trying to figure out where he's heard that name before. Yu Min remembered. "I know where Lei and the villain are. I know who the villain is."

"Good. Let's go where they are!" Dai Hui replied.

"We can't. If we want this to end where Xiao had planned it to end, we have to wait a day or two," Yu Min replied.

"Yu Min, Lei is your girlfriend. Don't you feel like you need to go and save her?"

"I do, but from what Xiao told me, we can't go. In fact, we were supposed to follow her or realized that she was gone this fast."

"So, basically, you're trying to let what Xiao had planned for this part of the book, so that way it can end?"

"Yes, but we will still follow the plan that I told you," Yu Min stated as he went to sit down.

Dai Hui felt that they were being watched. "Shhhh"

Yu Min was confused and a bit angry by that. "Why?"

"Because there's someone else here," Dai Hui replied as he put his hand on his sword.

Yu Min could now feel the eyes now as he would nod and also put his hand on his sword.

They looked around, but only with their eyes.

Dai Hui pulled his sword out and went to where he thought one of the people would be. As soon as he did that, the others would charge and attack.

Yu Min attacked as Dai Hui helped.

As they fought, they were seriously injured, but they killed them all. As soon as the last person was killed, they both fell to the ground.
