Geneva took in her son's expression and smirked. She knew she had him firmly where they needed him, and she had no worries at all. Yes, she had planned to let Brad choose his own marriage partner, but it wasn't like she wasn't doing that, was she? She was only providing him with minimal guidance, nothing more.

Brad whispered, stamped, then shook his head as if he could not believe the implication of that. How could he? The coincidence was too much!
"Yes," Geneva nodded, then turned to the surprised Fanny.

"Don't worry about that. The fact that you're using your middle name and your mother's last name does not mean that we do not know who you really are. We know now exactly whom we employ here, and we also respect your privacy on that."
Fanny lowered her head and smiled. A sad kind of smile that was representative of the fact that she had forgotten how her circles moved.
