The second day.
Xia Ruxue woke up stretching lazily in the tent.
She habitually reached out her leg to hook onto the side...but grabbed at empty air.
Xia Ruxue startled awake, bouncing up from the bedroll.
When she stepped outside the tent, she saw her husband sleeping among the grass and flowers, feeling both amused and annoyed.
As Xia Ruxue was about to come up with some way to prank Yi Lin, she took a closer look and found Yi Lin sleeping soundly, his brow tightly knitted, covered in dense beads of sweat on his forehead, as if he'd had a nightmare.
...
When Yi Lin woke up.
It was as if he'd fought a hard, tall battle; his whole body felt limp and weak, soaked.
His clothes were already drenched with sweat, and he found himself lying on Xia Ruxue's lap, with her tenderly kneading his brow with her fingertips, seemingly trying to smooth out the knot in Yi Lin's brows using this simple method.
"Had a nightmare?"
