Chapter 789 - Chapter 788: Big Fat Sheep

As they walked through the scene, Coulson began explaining, "Yesterday, 55 military personnel, hired by the world's largest diamond broker, each carrying a briefcase, were sent through 25 different routes across Stockholm."

"No one knew which briefcase contained the diamonds, but they still managed to steal it."

May, confused, asked, "Why make it so complicated?"

Entering the train car, Coulson clarified, "Because lately, someone's been stealing diamonds. They hit a Milan armored truck, cracked a safe in Monte Carlo, and now this…"

"The total value exceeds 30 million."

"Each heist happened under heavy security."

May suggested, "Sounds like an inside job."

Coulson knelt down, examining some bloodstains on the ground. "That's what many people think."

Skye looked at Coulson, "But you don't think so, do you?"

Noticing Coulson's glance, Skye asked, "Was there any surveillance footage?"

"Fitz and Simmons are checking. The system was down for an hour."

Standing up, Coulson said, "They think the system was hacked."

Killer Bee, curious, asked, "Was it the same person in all these cases?"

Coulson nodded. "Yes."

"But it was just one person. A woman."

"And she did it all while keeping her eyes closed."

Killer Bee looked around the train car, then said, "There's no trace of a ninja being involved. Of course, it could be that these people were too weak to make her use her abilities."

May then asked, "Did any witnesses identify her?"

"Yes, she's described as a fit, African American woman, about 30 years old."

Skye turned to Coulson. "You want me to figure out how she broke the system? I have an idea, but it might sound a bit far-fetched."

Coulson looked at her. "I live in a world of far-fetched."

Skye continued, "There are people in this world with superhuman abilities, right?"

"What if this woman has some kind of extrasensory perception?"

May interjected, "There's no reliable research proving the existence of precognition, telepathy, or extrasensory perception."

"Okay, science might not back it up, but this woman knew things she shouldn't have. And why keep her eyes closed?"

"Either it's coincidence, or it's crucial."

"Was she listening? Or maybe even reading minds?"

Coulson and May exchanged glances as the atmosphere grew tense.

Killer Bee then chimed in, "From what I know, there's a visual technique in Konoha called the Byakugan."

"It allows the user to see the opponent's chakra network, pressure points, and even the flow of chakra in their body. It grants telescopic vision, allowing them to see through objects and spot distant targets within a one-kilometer radius."

"The Hyuga Clan, who possess this ability, has more than one member currently in New York."

Skye, wide-eyed, exclaimed, "There are people with actual superpowers like that? So, they can see through clothes…"

She crossed her arms over her chest in a protective gesture, while Coulson and May were momentarily taken aback.

Coulson finally spoke up, "There are indeed three ninja from the Hyuga Clan in Konoha, and their eyes are definitely not like those of ordinary people."

Internally, Coulson was processing this new information, amazed at the diversity of abilities among ninjas.

The thought of a power capable of providing one-kilometer-range, all-encompassing vision with no blind spots struck him as terrifying.

Killer Bee continued, "Closing her eyes makes sense. After all, she could have scouted the area beforehand with her Byakugan, which has a range of at least 1 kilometer. However, as far as I know, there are no Black members in the Hyuga clan."

After proposing the idea of a Hyuga ninja, Killer Bee then ruled it out.

May interjected, "Could it be that a Hyuga ninja used the Byakugan to locate the diamonds and then remotely communicated the location to the Black woman?"

Killer Bee shook his head, "Why go through that much trouble? A Hyuga could have done the job themselves much faster and without leaving any traces."

Coulson nodded thoughtfully and added, "Charles's ninjas don't seem to be in need of money."

"Their merchandise, like action figures and other things, sells really well. I've heard they even receive licensing fees."

"And with abilities like that, they could clean out casinos without breaking a sweat."

Skye shrugged and said, "I'll just be over here playing on my phone."

As Skye sat down, May turned to Coulson. "Why is HQ having us investigate these robberies?"

It was clear that May couldn't grasp why they would be sent for something that seemed like a standard robbery case, despite the large amount involved.

Coulson replied, "It wasn't HQ. I took this case."

May was even more puzzled and was about to say something when Coulson interrupted her again.

"Skye, have you found anything?"

"Yeah, full signal on my phone."

"So, if I had been here at the time with 55 guys in scary red masks, you know what I would've done?"

"Posted selfies and shared them on Facebook."

Skye then showed them a picture she had found online: a man in a red suit wearing a red mask.

"Impressive."

"Let's head back to the plane. It'll be easier to search and tag this image with our onboard systems."

In Las Vegas-

Inside the Bellagio Hotel's casino-

Tsunade was sitting at a baccarat table, and her stack of chips had dwindled from one million to just a single $10,000 chip.

This had all happened in less than half an hour. Tony's chips had also dropped from one million to $100,000 because he had followed Tsunade's bets, losing every round.

Tony, initially thinking Tsunade's losing streak couldn't last forever, placed a few bets with her, only to be shocked by how fast he was losing.

He quickly stopped following her and moved to a different table where he could play a game he was more comfortable with.

Meanwhile, Charles stood by, not yet playing, simply watching as Tsunade continued to lose without betting any of his own chips.

As the next round started, Tsunade placed her final $10,000 chip. After the dealer revealed the cards, Charles wasn't surprised to see that Tsunade had lost once again.

Tsunade leaned back in her chair, realizing her chips were all gone.

Seeing that the game had ended quickly, Tsunade reached for her credit card, ready to exchange it for more chips.

At that moment, Charles pulled her up and said, "Come on, let's try something else."
