Chapter 791 - Chapter 790: Jackpot

On the other side-

Tsunade eventually lost all 990,000 of the chips in the slot machine, but her mood had noticeably improved. After all, compared to her previous gambling experiences, she had at least won something today, albeit small amounts.

Tsunade turned to Charles and said, "Shall we play something else? Although, my chips are all gone."

Looking into Tsunade's big, sparkling eyes, Charles smiled and replied, "I still have one chip left. Let's see how my luck is right now."

Charles inserted the 10,000-dollar chip into the slot machine, betting everything on the highest multiplier, 777. He then pulled the lever, and at that moment, a faint glow flashed from the Dragon Ring on his finger.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

As the lever was pulled, the machine began spinning, and the images on the screen started rotating. The first symbol to appear was a 7, followed by the second, which was also a 7. Both of them stared intently at the last spinning symbol.

At that moment, it seemed like time slowed down in Tsunade's eyes. Finally, the last symbol stopped, and it was a 7.

777 — all of Charles's chips were placed on this number.

Immediately, the machine rang out loudly: "Congratulations! Jackpot 777! Prize: 8,888,888 dollars!"

The sound of congratulations and cheers blared from the machine's speakers, drawing the attention of many other gamblers.

"Wow, what a lucky guy!"

Many gamblers expressed their admiration, and some even began walking over to their spot, hoping to absorb some of the good luck when they left.

Upon hearing the jackpot result, Tsunade jumped up and hugged Charles, exclaiming, "Oh my god, the jackpot! This is amazing!"

"Charles, your luck is incredible!"

Charles, feeling Tsunade's excitement (and her ample chest pressing against him), couldn't help but smile.

At that moment, a casino staff member approached them with a smile and said, "Congratulations to the two of you for hitting today's slot machine jackpot. Would you like the winnings to be exchanged into cash or chips?"

Since the prize was 8,888,888 dollars, it wouldn't be dispensed directly from the machine and needed to be collected from the cashier.

Charles looked at the staff member and calmly replied, "We'll take it in chips. We'd like to keep playing a few more games."

"Right this way, sir."

The staff member then led Charles and Tsunade to the cashier to exchange their prize for chips. At the same time, Tony Stark and Pepper Potts walked over to them.

"Hey, I heard you hit the jackpot on the slot machine. Was it Tsunade or you who won?"

In Tony's eyes, 8.88 million dollars wasn't much, but the sheer luck it took to win that kind of jackpot was impressive. Tony had been to Las Vegas many times but had never hit a jackpot himself.

Looking at Tony's expression, Tsunade excitedly said, "It was Charles who won! His luck is just amazing."

Charles shook his head and said, "It wasn't just me. Tsunade, if it weren't for your efforts earlier, I wouldn't have had this luck. We won this jackpot together."

Hearing Charles's words, Tsunade's smile grew even brighter.

Tony marveled, "You two really are lucky."

What Tony didn't know was that before Charles pulled the lever, he had cast a Merlin magic spell on himself, granting a blessing of luck. Coupled with Tsunade's "bad luck" earlier, they were able to hit the jackpot.

Pepper, standing next to Tsunade, started chatting with her about how she managed to work the machine, and Tsunade eagerly recounted her earlier gambling strategy.

Soon after, they finished exchanging the winnings into chips, and Charles handed half of them to Tsunade, encouraging her to keep playing. Meanwhile, Charles decided to sit back and watch.

On the aircraft-

After hearing that the thief was Coulson's former trainee, Skye remarked, "Looks like I'm not all that special, huh? I'm not your first student after all."

Coulson glanced at her, and Skye quickly added, "Relax, I was just joking."

"I know I'm not really your trainee. I'm not even a full S.H.I.E.L.D. agent yet."

Coulson smiled and said, "You and Amador are completely different. Amador was smart, capable, and very brave."

Skye, feeling a bit jealous, responded, "Wow, sounds like I'm the complete opposite."

Coulson interrupted, "Let me finish. She didn't get along with others, thought teamwork was pointless. I thought I could instill those values in her, so I pushed her... maybe too hard."

Skye, sensing his guilt, comforted him, "Don't beat yourself up because she went down the wrong path. Whatever trouble she's in now, that's her choice."

After saying that, Skye didn't stay in the command room but instead walked out with Killer Bee, wanting to discuss something with him.

Belarus – Zhlodino -

In a small hotel, Akela Amador closed her eyes for a moment, taking in her surroundings. She then opened her eyes, grabbed a golf club near the door, and opened the door to pull a man standing outside inside.

Amador threw the Russian man onto the bed, closing the door behind her as she pressed the golf club to his throat.

"We agreed to meet alone."

The man raised his hands, signaling he wasn't a threat, and said, "I am alone."

Amador pressed further, "What about the people in the next room? And the one by the stairs?"

The man quickly explained, "They're just here to protect me, to escort the goods."

"Please!"

After a second of thought, Amador lifted the golf club from his throat and got off him.

The man, relieved to be temporarily safe, wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and stood up, apologizing, "I'm sorry, I've never done anything like this before."

"Um, can I see the goods?"

Amador put the golf club back in the bag and took out a small bucket filled with five golf balls. She handed one to the man and picked up a transparent water jug.

She poured water from the tap onto the golf ball in the man's hand, and the ball immediately began to dissolve. Once it had mostly melted, Amador stopped pouring, and the man clenched his fist.

When he opened it again, his palm was filled with diamonds.

Looking at the diamonds, the man eagerly pulled out a white handkerchief and carefully placed the gems on it. Then he asked, "And the rest…?"

"They're right here," Amador said, showing him the bucket containing the other four golf balls. "You can take them through customs, and no one will notice."

"It's your turn now."

The man nodded and pulled out a folded piece of paper, saying, "When I set the price at thirty million, I didn't expect anyone would…"

Amador took the paper and said, "If this is fake, you'll regret it."

The man, looking serious, replied, "As agreed, you have full access. But once you're inside, have you thought through your plan?"

Amador calmly replied, "I'll figure it out when the time comes."
