Chapter 12 - Chapter 012: Beautifully Done

Poison, sleeping drugs, a map, and a boat... Everything was ready.

In the kitchen, He Nianqing was bustling about. Making meals for the over fifteen people on the island was no easy task, as he had to prepare three meals a day for them.

"Uncle Nian, are they drinking tonight?"

"I heard the Sixth Master's business has been settled, and he'll be coming back. Everyone is happy and plans to celebrate with some drinks." He Nianqing also enjoyed alcohol, so he was pleased to hear there would be drinking.

"Mai, you must be the happiest now that the Sixth Master is coming back, right?"

Like hell I'm happy!

She wished he would die out there and never return.

"Yes, I feel like the Sixth Master has been gone for a very long time," Sienna Johnson said with false sincerity.

In the sling bag she carried, there was a packet of sleeping powder she had prepared herself. Sienna eyed the six wine jars on the floor. When He Nianqing stepped out to use the restroom, Sienna emptied the entire packet of sleeping powder into them. This sleeping powder wouldn't make anyone pass out immediately. It would take about two hours for its effects to manifest, after which a person would remain unconscious for approximately ten hours.

Ten hours. That would be enough time for her to escape this island.

He Nianqing re-entered the kitchen, clutching his stomach and looking unwell. Sienna asked, "Uncle Nian, what's wrong? You look terrible."

"I might have eaten something that disagreed with me. My stomach feels upset."

"Uncle Nian, the food is almost ready anyway. I can finish up. You should go and rest." Of course, he feels unwell, Sienna thought. I gave him a small dose of laxative.

"How could I let you do that?" He Nianqing demurred. Sienna was now the Sixth Master's woman, and he felt awkward about asking her to do chores.

Sienna said warmly, "But Uncle Nian, aren't you feeling unwell?" She poured him a jug of wine and handed it to him. "Uncle Nian, I saved this for you. Once these jugs are brought out, they'll be snatched up in no time."

He Nianqing smiled. "You're a good girl, still thinking of this old man."

Sienna just smiled, her expression one of pure innocence.

During dinner, just to be on the safe side, Sienna drugged both the food and the drinks before poisoning all the Tibetan Mastiffs.

The amount of poison she had prepared was actually enough to kill everyone. Sienna was, at heart, a law-abiding citizen. She could bring herself to poison a pack of Tibetan Mastiffs, but not a group of people.

People were strewn all over the ground. Anyone unaware of the truth would have thought them all dead.

Night had fallen, and silence enveloped the island, making it seem like an isle of the dead. Sienna couldn't help but feel nervous, her eyelids twitching violently. She was, in fact, terrified.

She wore a shirt, jeans, and sneakers, her hair neatly tied up. After packing a few essentials, she slowly walked out of the villa that had been her cage.

"AH..."

In her haste, Sienna tripped over someone lying on the ground near the door. Her hand landed on a shard of broken porcelain, and blood began to flow from the cut.

Calm down! Sienna glanced at her wound. It wasn't too deep, but not superficial either. She had no time to treat it now; she couldn't bear to stay in this place a moment longer.

She quickly picked up her backpack and, gritting her teeth, ran out.

She ran as if ghosts were chasing her.

Outside, the sky was darkening. Sienna reached the shore, boarded one of the speedboats, took out the map, and headed toward Abyanabad.

She had heard that Abyanabad was the Sixth Master's home. Sienna didn't want to go there, but it was the closest country to this island. Only by reaching the mainland quickly would she have a better chance of escaping for good.

"Sharks?"

As the speedboat cut through the waves, Sienna saw shark fins slicing rapidly through the water's surface.

Sienna had seen the movie *Jaws* and knew how terrifying sharks could be. Her face turned pale. She tightened her grip on the steering wheel and prayed silently.

Sienna, calm down, calm down!

The Sixth Master's boat arrived at Unnamed Island three days ahead of schedule.

The Sixth Master and his men reached the island at ten o'clock at night. As soon as they landed, they sensed something was amiss; it was too quiet. The island seemed devoid of life, shrouded in a deathly stillness.

"Sixth Master, something seems off."

Not only the Sixth Master but the others also noticed it. Everyone instantly went on high alert.

The Sixth Master looked at the large villa halfway up the mountain. Many rooms in the villa were dark, and he couldn't see any figures moving about; this was not normal. The most abnormal thing was the silence from his pack of Tibetan Mastiffs. Hearing people land, they should have been roaring and charging over, yet there was no sound from them.

"There might be intruders. Everyone, be careful," the Sixth Master said.

"Yes!"

They advanced onto the island cautiously, a heavy sense of foreboding weighing on each of them, fearing that something terrible had happened.

The Sixth Master felt an even greater sense of dread. If there was danger, Sienna would be the most vulnerable. She was a woman, a beautiful one at that. Without his protection, the Sixth Master dared not imagine what she might have endured.

He hoped she had been clever enough to hide herself away safely.

"Sixth Master, isn't this...?"

A black Tibetan Mastiff lay sprawled on the path, blood oozing from its mouth and eyes—clear signs of poisoning.

"Someone has invaded the island! They've even poisoned all the Tibetan Mastiffs!" one of the men exclaimed.

Walter Klein was more level-headed. "How is that possible?" he questioned. "These Tibetan Mastiffs wouldn't eat anything given by strangers. They only eat food provided by the Sixth Master or Tatu. And Tatu would never betray the Sixth Master!"

"Then how did these Tibetan Mastiffs die?"

"Don't tell me someone forced poison down their throats?" another man interjected. "The Sixth Master fed these Tibetan Mastiffs raw meat to maintain their ferocity. Ordinary people couldn't even get near them, right?"

Before they could make sense of the situation, the Sixth Master bolted. The others, after a moment's hesitation, sprinted after him towards the villa.

Along the way, they found several more poisoned Tibetan Mastiffs, and the expression on everyone's face grew increasingly grim.

"Sixth Master, there might be an ambush! You can't just charge in like this!" Walter Klein urged, blocking his path. If intruders had indeed come to the island, wouldn't charging in like this be walking right into a trap?

"I'd like to see who has the audacity to trespass on my territory!"

He wasn't afraid of them.

Anyone who dared to offend him, Adrian Desmond, must be prepared to face his wrath!

The Sixth Master fearlessly entered the villa. However, the deeper they ventured, the more unsettling it became. Logically, upon entering the villa, they should have been "greeted" by someone or ambushed. But there was nothing.

Their group entered the main villa unimpeded. However, the sight that greeted them inside left everyone utterly dumbfounded: people were lying haphazardly all over the place.

Among the sprawled figures, Xavier Young instantly spotted his brother's "corpse." His eyes blazed with fury. "Who did this?! Who on earth did this?!" he roared.
