Just then, the sound of gunshots echoed from downstairs. Brett Jacobs and Walter Klein simultaneously drew their guns, shielding Sienna Johnson behind them and remaining vigilant. Sienna also moved further into the ward to avoid being caught in the crossfire.
"I'll stay with Madam; I'll go check on Sixth Master," Brett Jacobs said.
"Alright!" Walter Klein agreed.
A large group of heavily armed and aggressive men approached them.
"Sixth Master!" Walter Klein suddenly shouted. Sienna Johnson's heart jolted, thinking that Adrian Desmond might have woken up. She looked over and saw several people in white coats holding guns, pushing Adrian Desmond's mobile bed towards them.
Adrian Desmond hadn't awoken; he was being held hostage. As Brett Jacobs tried to approach and rescue him, a voice sounded from the crowd. "If you don't want him to die, don't act carelessly!"
