Chapter 144 - Edward Found Jessy

"I don't like this," Joyleen whispered, clutching her purse.

"Lawyers only call people like us when there's a debt or a lawsuit. Did we park in the wrong spot at the clinic again?"

Eileen squeezed her sister's hand. "We didn't do anything wrong, Joy just stay calm." Not knowing that her sister can be anything but a coward. 

The heavy mahogany door opened, and Mr. Sterling stepped in. He wasn't the shark-like lawyer they expected he looked weary, holding a thick leather binder as if it contained the secrets of the universe. He didn't sit behind his desk. Instead, he pulled a chair up directly across from them.

"Ladies, I'll be blunt," Sterling began, his voice raspy.

"I have been tasked with the execution of a private trust. It is called the Phoenix Foundation. As of six o'clock this morning, the two of you have been named as the sole trustees and primary beneficiaries." said.

Joyleen leaned forward, widening her eyes.
