Chapter 5 - WIZARD? AND CHANGES?

Room:

Sweat trickled down Elle's face as she sat on the bed, her trembling hands occasionally wiping it away. Her mind was clouded with racing thoughts, anxiety etched into her expression. The air in the large room was heavy, filled with the sound of shallow, erratic breathing—clear signs of a panic attack.

Suddenly, the door creaked open. Elle jerked her head up, her worried expression quickly morphing into one of curiosity. Though her mind urged her to remain composed, her body betrayed her, trembling uncontrollably.

Sue: "Bub! What happened? Why do you look so stressed, huh?" (Her voice was filled with worry.)

Elle: "N-n-n-no-n-not-hing, M-mo-m…" (hiccups)

Sue: "Yeah, I can clearly see that." (She frowned in concern.)

Without wasting another second, Sue pressed a button. A maid entered swiftly, followed by a doctor. The doctor examined Elle thoroughly before speaking.

Doctor: "She's having a panic attack and appears to be under severe stress. I've given her an injection—she'll wake up soon. If she doesn't, contact me immediately."

Sue nodded, her thoughts torn between worry for Elle and lingering concerns about Lucifer.

Doung's POV:

I was holding Lucifer's hand, helplessness tightening in my chest. I had already called the doctor, and she claimed that Lucifer was unconscious due to weakness. But… something didn't sit right with me. My instincts were screaming otherwise.

Suddenly, my phone rang. I stood up from beside Lucifer's bed and answered the call.

Doung: "Hi, Lexy."

Lexy: "I need to talk to you about something important. But for that, you need to come to the Ground of Horror. Okay?"

Doung: "Okay."

Call ended.

I leaned down and gently kissed Lucifer's forehead.

Doung: "Let's go. Bye, sissy."

Author's Perspective:

Doung quietly sneaked out, headed to meet Lexy. But confusion clouded his thoughts—why would Lexy call him so urgently?

Introduction to Lexy:

Daughter of Abelard and Vilve.

Present when her parents were summoned by Glock.

Age: 26

Powers: Minup, Lea, and one more.

At the Ground of Horror, Doung scanned the area but saw no sign of Lexy. Just then, she jumped out from behind him and screamed playfully, causing him to freeze and stare at her like she was his annoying sibling.

Lexy: "Huh! You even get scared now? Wow! Anyway, we have to meet Gandalf."

Doung: "Why?"

Lexy: "Gandalf can see the future. We're going to ask him about it."

Doung: "You know if we find out what the future holds, it might never come to pass, right?"

Lexy: "Of course, I know that! But we're just asking for hints. Simple."

Doung: "Hmm, so we'll have some idea about what's to come."

Lexy and Doung (in unison): "Done!"

Doung: "I'm free on Sunday. Let's go then."

Lexy: "Okay!"

Author's Perspective:

Simon entered Lucifer's room, only to find it empty. His mind swirled with dark thoughts and growing worry. Just then, the bathroom door opened.

A beautiful girl stepped out—her arms, neck, and face adorned with visible scars. Ironically, the scars seemed to accentuate her beauty. But what about the ones that couldn't be seen?

Simon took a step forward but halted when she raised her hand, silently commanding him to stop. She was Lucifer.

Lucifer: "Why are you here? Get out of my sight!" (Her voice was sharp, cold.)

Simon: "Please forgive me. I couldn't protect you then. But now I'm stronger… fearless. Please… forgive me."

Lucifer: "No way. I'll never forgive you."

Simon: "Please. I beg you." (He fell to his knees, tears streaming down his face.) "Forgive me for not fighting harder, for not stopping Mom from sending you there. Forgive me for slapping you that day. I was angry—I didn't mean it. Forgive me for calling you those names. Please… please forgive me."

Lucifer: "So, you just said what was on your mind? It had been there for a while if it came out in anger. I don't care if you live or die. I don't care."

Sue: "You made a mistake. That's why you were punished." (Sue stepped into the room.)

Lucifer: "Really, Mrs. Ave? That's what you think? Fine. But remember—things are going to change, in ways no one wants. Think however you want; your thoughts won't change anything."

Somewhere deep inside, guilt stirred in Sue's heart. Her own daughter had just called her Mrs. Ave instead of Mom. But did Lucifer care? Not even slightly.

Lucifer: "What now? Cat got your tongue?"

Sue: "Is that how you speak to your mother? And Simon, get off the floor! Are your clothes more important than seeking forgiveness from her?"

Lucifer: "My mother? Hah! My mother died when I was four. I'm fourteen now, and I don't care who you think you are. I don't live with family—I live with those responsible for my scars. But guess what? I look breathtaking. Who's more beautiful than Elle? Oh wait—her name ruins my mood."

She smirked bitterly.

Lucifer: "You don't deserve to be called a human—let alone a mother. And you, Simon, stand up and get out. I don't want you here."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lucifer stormed out of the room, her fury boiling beneath her skin.She was seething—hatred coursing through her veins. She hated them all to the core.
Inside the mind:
Rose: "What now, Emma?"
Emma: "Nothing, Rose. They're absolutely stupid. They didn't even suspect we have DID—Dissociative Identity Disorder. Fucking idiots."
Pinky: "Don't curse, please. I don't like it."
Emma: "Sorry… I was just angry."
Pinky: "It's okay," she replied gently.
Hope: "Bwut… I don't want it."
Emma: "Don't want what, baby?"
Hope: "Sad fweelin'."
Emma: "Don't worry, sweetie. I'm not sad, okay?"
Author's Perspective:
Lucifer—also known as Lucy—is the primary identity, the one who usually holds the light. But Hope, a sweet personality with the mindset of a 3-year-old, can take control whenever she wants. And once she does, no one else can regain control until she allows it. Despite this, she listens only to Lucy.
Lucifer knows what others need. But does she know what she wants?
No. The answer is a resounding no.
She is someone who has endured more than most, someone with a rare and powerful presence. Her body was extraordinary, and though she didn't realize it, she was one of the most exceptional beings in existence.
Doung: "Hi, Lucy."
Lucifer (as Patrick—her male alter): "Why aren't you calling me Lucifer?"
Doung: "Because you're not the devil."
Lucifer (Patrick): "Really? But you used to call me that before, young lad."
Doung: "Because I was blindly following my father—the king."
Lucifer: "Was it my fault? Anyway… can you go now? I want to be alone."
Doung paused, a wave of sadness passing through his eyes as he looked at his younger sister. He didn't know whether she was truly at fault. But what he did know was that he loved her deeply.
What he didn't know… was that the feeling wasn't mutual.
Without another word, he turned and left.
Patrick: "Man, he really thought I'd forgive him."
Emma: "You?"
Patrick: "Oh—I mean we. We'll forgive him."
Emma: "What? Why would we forgive him?"
Patrick: "I never said that."
Emma: "Yes, you did. You just said that."
Rose: "You said, 'Oh, I mean we. We'll forgive him.'"
Patrick: "What makes you think we will?"
Crystal (cutting in sharply): "Shut the fuck up. She said you said it—and that's the truth. End of discussion."
Patrick, Emma, Rose (in unison): "Aye, aye, captain."
Crystal: "Good. Now, let's do something fun. They gave us the name 'Lucifer,' like we're the devil. So if we are the devil—let's start acting like one."
In a basement—Marco's monologue:
"Why did you leave me? Look what I've become now... Thank God I met that girl—an angel in disguise," Marco murmured bitterly.
Introduction – Marco:
Name: Marco
Age: 16
Race: Elf (long ears give it away)
Powers: Unknown to most, known only by close friends and himself.
A beautiful, battle-scarred soul. His mother abandoned him and his sister to save herself—and never returned. Marco raised his sister, Martha, and would do anything for her and his friends. Even burn the world.
Flashback – Vipmer:
Woman #1: "What are we going to do? Why are you doing this to us?!"
Boy #1: "Shut the fuck up."
Woman #1: "Leave them! Do whatever you want with me!"
Laughter echoed.
Man #1: "Why would you think that?"
He grabbed the woman by her hair.
Woman #1: "Please! Leave my daughter and son! I'm begging you!"
Man #1 (smirking): "Why do you always assume the worst? Watch me kill your daughter right in front of you."
Woman #1: "No—please! I'll tell you everything. Just leave them!"
Man #1 (masked as a lion): "That depends on what and how much you tell me."
Woman #1: "Abelard and I were business partners. We never suspected Malvolia would betray us. We trusted her—childhood friends. When Abelard turned 24, we started a company together. But everything changed when Malvolia joined."
Suddenly, Malvolia attacked. The boy was killed. The man fled.
Woman #1: "Thank God we're in Viking Land. Otherwise, I'd be arrested."
Sirens wailed.
Woman #1: "I'm Vlexia. I can die—I'm a vampire. But I need blood. This boy is useless—drained."
Spotting a hidden seal, she opened it.
Vlexia: "Let's get out of here."
Emerging from the underground passage, she caught the scent of rotting flesh.
Vlexia: "Dead flesh and blood… Not ideal, but it'll do."
She devoured the remains, then ran—only to be intercepted by Lear Land's guards.
Guard: "Hands up! You violated our laws by using Vipme powers here!"
Vlexia: "Shit."
She was captured—but used her Vipme powers to kill them all before fleeing again.
Flashback Ends
Marco (coldly): "Are you ready to die… MRS. Olivia? Or should I say… the woman who gave birth to me?"
Bianca enters the basement.
Bianca: "What are you doing here, bro?"
Marco: "Nothing, princess."
Bianca: "Stop calling me princess. I'm fifteen!"
Marco: "And I'm sixteen."
Bianca: "Whatever."
Marco: "Tomorrow we meet Lucy. She'll assign our next task. You're going to Alessandro—no mistakes. Got it?"
Bianca: "Okay… but… are we really blood-related?"
Marco: "What do you mean?"
Bianca: "You're an elf. I'm a fairy…"
Marco (disappointed): "Because you resemble our mother. I resemble our father. I can't believe you'd question that."
Bianca: "I didn't mean it like that—I was just curious. I'm sorry."
She tried to hug him, but he pulled away.
Marco: "I've informed Alessandro. Be there by 7. It's already 5—better leave. Bye."
He kissed her forehead and left.
Bianca (softly): "No matter how angry he gets… he still loves me. Now, time to head to my work—maybe even my date. I hope he knows I like him."
Alessandro's POV:
I wish she knew I liked her.
Alessandro: "Fuck… this wound hurts. I can't even reach it—it's on my back."
Alessandro – Introduction:
Age: 18
Mental Age: 29
Power: Secret (only known by his group)
Traits: Diabetic, assassin, brilliant weapon-maker. Fights against trafficking and drugs.
His mother was raped in front of him when he was 2½. He'd do anything for his love, friends, and team leader—who is also his best friend.
Stacy: "Hi, Sandro."
Alessandro (annoyed): "What do you want?"
Stacy: "Come on—I'm your friend."
Alessandro: "No. You're my friend's girlfriend."
Stacy: "A friend's friend is your friend too."
Alessandro: "First, you're his girlfriend. Second, you'll never be my friend."
Stacy: "Why do you hate me so much?!"
Alessandro: "Just. Shut. Up."
Bianca walked in.
Bianca: "Hi." (She looked sad.)
Alessandro: "Hello, blondie. How are you?"
Bianca: "Still calling me that, huh?"
Alessandro (softly): "Can't help it, mi amore."
Bianca: "What did you just call me?"
Alessandro: "Nothing. Forget it."
Stacy: "How are you, Boa?"
Bianca: "Good."
Alessandro: "Let's eat and watch something, blondie."
Bianca: "Yeah, sounds good."
Author's Perspective:
Alessandro switched on the TV and passed the remote to Bianca. Stacy watched jealously, feeling like the third wheel.
Bianca: "Go grab the food. I'll pick something to watch."
She flipped to the news… and screamed Alessandro's name.
He ran in—and froze at what he saw on screen.
Alessandro (calling Marco): "Why didn't you tell me about this?! Bianca's pissed at you too."
Marco: "Calm down. We're on our way. Lucy wants to speak with you."
Lucy (over speaker): "We're en route. We'll be there in ninety minutes. Call the team—we need to talk. Got it, Ally?"
Alessandro: "Got it, boss. I'll inform everyone."
Bianca: "When he gets here, I'm beating his ass."
Alessandro: "He's a year older."
Bianca: "Like I care, Ally!"
Alessandro: "You should care."
Meanwhile, Stacy fumed silently.
Stacy: "Let's just work on the bombs already."
Alessandro: "Yeah. Let's do it."
Bianca: "I brought the stuff."
Suddenly—a scream echoed.
"Ahhhhh! You're going to kill me, Peter!"
