"Knock knock!" The room door sounded twice and was pushed open.
Evelyn Sherman placed the roses sent by Diego Larson into a vase and brought it into Zoe Yale's room.
Seeing her disappointed little face, she stepped forward and hugged her.
"What's wrong with my little princess? Is it because Mom is pressuring you to find a boyfriend?" Evelyn Sherman asked with concern, noticing her reddened eyes.
"Mom, I'm feeling sad..." Zoe Yale hugged Evelyn tightly and started to sob as soon as she spoke.
"Is it because of that boy named Charles White?" Evelyn patted her back and asked.
Zoe Yale suddenly raised her head to look at Evelyn, surprised that she guessed it right away.
"Silly girl, you're too naive, everything on your mind is written all over your face. It's not just Mom; anyone can tell you have something on your mind."
Evelyn held her quietly, as if reminiscing about something, and after a moment, she finally spoke.
