Harrison Yale grasped the steering wheel with one hand, his dark eyes subtly flickering. He turned his head to look at her, catching sight of her tense expression, and pursed his thin lips.
"Is it related to you going abroad behind my back?"
"..." Emma Aiden's face turned somewhat ugly in an instant.
Her hands twisted together forcefully, and her voice trembled lightly as she uttered a soft "yes," unable to say anything more.
"If you're not ready yet, there's no rush to speak, I'll wait for you." Harrison Yale freed a hand to gently tousle her hair, his eyes filled with affection.
He never cared whether they had ever been apart.
What he cared about was that her heart only had him.
Since she was back by his side now, whatever he should know, he would eventually find out.
"But I want to tell you, maybe, once you know, you won't want to be with me anymore..." Emma Aiden's eyes dimmed, her fingers pinching herself tightly, the tips turning white.
