"Do you know each other?" Emma Aiden furrowed her brows, a line forming between them.
How come she never knew that Yasmin Vernon and Amelia Lawrence knew each other?
"Louis Mendez is an employee of the Lawrence Corporation. We met at the family gathering, so there's a bit of a connection. Seeing an employee's family member ill, I wanted to show some concern. It shouldn't be too much, right?"
Amelia Lawrence smiled and looked up at Yasmin Vernon, who was hiding behind Emma Aiden.
"Miss Vernon, what's the matter? Why do you seem so afraid, and why didn't you inform Louis Mendez to take care of you since you're ill? I remember he is on leave today and not working."
"Emma, I'm not familiar with her. I don't want to see her. Can you make her leave..." Yasmin Vernon, upon hearing Amelia Lawrence mention her husband, panicked and hid behind Emma Aiden.
