"Mother, where's the villain? Where's the villain? Lulu said there's a very fierce Mrs. Wellington going to bully mother... Lulu's here so don't be scared, Lulu will protect mother..."
The chubby little one hugged mother, rubbing her head against mother's legs.
She obviously wanted mother to hold her, but remembering what Brother Charlie said—that mother was carrying a little sister and that holding her would be strenuous—Lulu very considerately didn't tell mother she wanted to be held.
Lily saw through little baby's intention right away, knowing that her dear Lulu loved her, and smiled as she squatted down to embrace Lulu in her arms.
"Don't worry, Lulu," Lily said, "Mrs. Wellington has already left. Although she's fierce, mother isn't easy to bully. Mother scared Mrs. Wellington away."
"Yay, mother is awesome!" Lulu secretly burst with joy, burying her head in mother's embrace.
