"Miss Brown, hurry over and eat, it's all Mr. Wellington's treat." Tom Nelson noticed Skye Brown standing still without any response, not recognizing the hint.
He was there to deliver something from Mr. Wellington, the least Skye could do was to respond somehow, right?
For example, make a call to Mr. Wellington to say thanks?
Or, have him pass a message to Mr. Wellington?
In short, there needed to be some kind of gesture, otherwise, it would be hard for him to explain when he went back.
Who knew, not only did Skye not give the response Tom wanted, but she actually shoved the large bouquet of roses back into his hands.
"I don't want these flowers, please return them to your Mr. Wellington. Tell me how much the hotpot delivery cost, and I'll reimburse you."
Skye, after a brief moment of shock, reacted and decisively returned the roses.
Then she took out her cell phone, ready to transfer money to Tom.
Tom was dumbstruck at once.
