"How did it go? What did the doctor say?"
Skye Brown came out of the doctor's office and Norman York immediately approached her.
Every month, he would come specially to accompany Skye for her prenatal checkup. To avoid revealing their whereabouts, Skye didn't even contact Lily at the beginning.
But now that her belly had grown larger and everything had been calm for half a year as her due date approached, she really wanted someone close to her.
That's when she contacted Lily.
"The doctor said everything is good. The baby is very healthy, and so am I. I don't have any of those pregnancy issues like high blood pressure or high cholesterol you mentioned, so... rest assured."
Skye smiled as she took the cake from Norman York's hands.
She had seen a pastry shop on the way and couldn't resist buying two, wanting to bring them back for Molly and herself.
However, Norman York had acted like a mother, not allowing her to eat.
