Keira Leaf remained silent, not saying a word. Zachary Armstrong raised his eyebrows and cast a glance at the two little rascals, intending to turn around and leave.
"Could you do me a favor?" Keira Leaf suddenly spoke up.
"Let's hear it."
"Could you bring me some clothes? These are about to turn into rags," Keira Leaf said softly, as if she had forgotten the gunshot wound on her body.
"I thought you would beg me to help you remove the bullet."
Keira Leaf smiled but said nothing more.
Zachary Armstrong didn't bother with her any further and soon sent someone to bring several pieces of women's clothing. He also had a doctor come to remove the bullet from Keira Leaf's body.
After the room door was closed again, Keira Leaf turned to look at the two children and whispered, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
Both children still did not speak. Tristan Leaf remained silent; only his dark, bright eyes were red and swollen like a rabbit's.
