Keira Leaf and Jackson Sully both paused slightly, but their mutual strength was a refusal to dig too deeply in such moments.
Believing there must be a reason, Jackson gently nodded to Keira without saying more, picked up his sling bag, and followed Stuart Truman out.
As soon as they left, Keira couldn't help but ask, "Why did you let her leave?"
"Shane Winchester and Alexandra Lee came to see you," Joshua Sulliven said softly.
Keira was startled, and it all made sense...
