Shane's eyelashes trembled slightly as he stared blankly at the water cup on the tea table, his voice low, "No matter how long it takes, I'll definitely find her…"

Seeing the desolation in his eyes, Keira couldn't help but sigh quietly. But she was no longer the naive young girl who didn't understand the ways of the world.

Though she felt a pang of heartache for the pain in his eyes, she wouldn't soften and divulge anything she knew about Alice to him again. Perhaps this was what maturity meant.

Just then, Joshua had already come upstairs from downstairs. When he spotted Shane, he furrowed his brow and said coldly, "Get out."

Shane slowly stood up, glanced indifferently at Joshua, and without hurrying, left the room as if he didn't have the energy to argue.
