Keira Leaf huddled in his arms, eyes tightly shut, still frowning as if uncomfortable, continuously squirming in his embrace. Her small hands emerged from the bath towel wrapping her and landed on Joshua Sulliven's chest, tugging as if wanting to tear off his damp clothes.
At first, Joshua Sulliven didn't think much of it, merely assuming his clothes were a bit damp, making her uncomfortable. He then gently placed her in the bed, handling her cautiously like she was a fragile porcelain doll.
He threw the shirt aside, grabbed a towel to wipe off the water on his body, and when his gaze fell on Keira Leaf, his pupils involuntarily contracted a bit.
Due to Keira Leaf's restless movements, the bath towel wrapping her had unfolded more than half, leaving a large swath of her snow-white skin exposed to the air. The bruises and wounds seemed even more glaring, making his eyes redden slightly again.
