Chapter 1956 - Chapter 1959: A Hint of Milk Fragrance

Perhaps the movements were a bit too frantic. After jumping out of the basin, Keira Leaf stepped into her slippers. But because her feet were covered with quite a bit of laundry detergent, it was really too slippery. Add to that the water on the ground, and as soon as the slippers bore her weight, they slipped, causing Keira Leaf to topple sideways.

"Ah—!"

Keira Leaf instinctively let out a scream, only feeling that she was definitely going to fall miserably!

But after falling, it wasn't the cold, hard ground she expected. Keira Leaf opened her eyes lightly, only to find herself in a warm embrace, leaving her momentarily stunned.

Until her vision gradually cleared, she finally saw that the man who caught her wasn't anyone else but Jacob Sydney, who was looking at her expressionlessly.

"Uh… thanks…" Keira Leaf noticed something amiss and quickly stood up from Jacob Sydney, only to somehow feel that there was an unexplained milky scent on him, reminiscent of Alexandra's smell.
