"Be careful––!"
Before Keira Leaf could grab his arm for a closer look, Joshua Sulliven suddenly wrapped her in a tight embrace, swiftly turning and changing direction.
The crowd let out a gasp, seemingly terrified by the dangerous situation in front of them.
Keira Leaf, held protectively in Joshua Sulliven's arms, clearly felt the man in front of her stiffen. Her complexion turned pale, and she tightly gripped his lapel, eyes misting with urgency. "How are you? Are you hurt?"
Joshua Sulliven gave her a faint smile and pushed her aside: "Wait over there."
When the words fell, he turned around, kicking at the man who had just flashed a knife behind him. As he turned, Keira Leaf saw clearly the bright red wound on his broad spine, stark and alarming.
