Seeing her repeatedly looking back and peering outside the car, a police officer got up with a cold face and drew the curtain shut.
The blocked view successfully changed Victoria Carter's expression. Like an enraged lion, she glared at the police officer in front of her, "I won't let you get away with this!"
The officer remained stern, showing no reaction to her threat.
Time continued to slip away, and the car was gradually moving from the remote area into the city centre. Even though the police officer used the curtain to block the view, Victoria could still turn her head to watch the road ahead. Through the iron fence and the windshield, she grew more agitated.
