"Then how about some tea? It's the roses Aunt Michelle gave me, they smell wonderful."
Mason nodded, took the teacup, and sipped the tea.
"Emily, I've been busy with work recently and haven't had the time to accompany you. Is there anywhere you'd like to go? I can arrange for someone to take you out for a few days!" Mason put down his teacup and suddenly turned to his daughter.
Her father's sudden suggestion that she go out for a few days surprised Emily.
"I want to stay at home and study properly," Emily said after thinking for a moment.
Next year was the College Entrance Exam, and she wanted to get into City Z University to see Lorne.
"Studying isn't that important; being happy is what's most important," Mason said, his heart aching to see his daughter working so hard for her studies.
"By the way, I heard that Lorne hasn't come back yet..." he pondered something and then suddenly asked.
