As Stella Noah Jackson came down from the penthouse, she saw Mark Duncan walking toward her as soon as she reached the first floor, with a trace of anxiety on his face.
His complexion only eased a little upon seeing her, and he walked quickly toward her.
"Where did you go?" He stopped right in front of her, looked down at her, and then asked.
His voice was low, even carrying a touch of gentleness.
"Just took a walk," Stella looked up at him and then smiled.
After hearing her words, Mark suddenly concernedly grasped her right hand and lifted her sleeve...
At a glance, there was already a blue bruise on her fair arm!
"He really hit you?" Mark furrowed his brows, a hint of displeasure in his eyes...
Grandfather actually laid hands on her!
"Looks like they already told you everything." Stella shrugged, wondering why he asked where she went just now if he already knew.
"Don't go there next time!" He looked at her arm, unable to hide a look of heartache.
