Norris Moore finished her bath, sitting on the sofa and drying her damp hair with a towel.
Feeling a weight upon her, she snapped back to reality, glanced down at the blanket draped over her shoulders, and looked back with a smile at Trenton Smith behind her. The man leaned down to gently kiss her face and asked, "What are you thinking about? I came in and you didn't even notice. You're all wet, didn't you think to cover up?"
"Nothing much," Norris shook her head, "just daydreaming."
Trenton didn't argue, taking the towel from Norris's hands to help her dry her wet hair. Only when the dripping stopped did he grab a hairdryer to blow it dry.
"What were you and Abigail Moore talking about last night?"
He put away the hairdryer in the drawer, then came back to sit on the sofa and wrapped his arms around her. Norris naturally leaned on his broad shoulders. Upon hearing his question, she paused for a moment, then shook her head softly, "Not much. Just small talk."
