Returning home, Thinker had just been fed by the maid. Seeing Norris Moore and Trenton Smith return, she reached out her arms, cooing for them to hold her.
Norris Moore took her into his arms and tenderly kissed her increasingly chubby cheeks, "Thinker, did you miss mommy?"
Lying in her arms, Thinker bubbled like a happy little goldfish.
Trenton Smith removed his coat and handed it to a servant. Hearing Norris Moore's words, he couldn't help but laugh: "She doesn't even recognize people now. She thinks anyone with milk is her mother. Do you think she would miss you?"
Norris Moore was dissatisfied with Trenton Smith's characterization of his daughter as foolish: "That's not true. Haven't you noticed that Thinker seems happier whenever she sees me?"
Trenton Smith shook his head with a smile. The child had just opened her eyes; her mind wasn't fully developed yet. How could she know what a father and mother were?
