Liam Summer stayed in the laboratory for a while and finally couldn't help it. He took off his lab coat and rushed out of the laboratory, heading towards Steven Balance's room.
His heart was pounding all the way there, and he couldn't describe what he was feeling; he just knew that if he didn't go, he might regret it for the rest of his life.
The light in Steven Balance's room was off, but he knew he was in there. He kicked open the door and stopped, panting, only to see two people sitting on the bed, lifting their heads to look at him.
The girl's clothes were disheveled, and she was curled up on the bed, clutching a blanket, with a somewhat panicked look. Steven Balance sat on the bed, looking at him with a slightly complex expression.
Liam Summer took a deep breath, calmed his mind, and walked over to drape a blanket over Aldana Candi, lifting her from the bed.
Steven Balance reached out to grab him.
Liam Summer said softly, "My lab is missing a person, so let her join."
