The matter of Philip Shaw being poisoned was kept a secret inside and out; only the servants entering and leaving the Shaw Residence and his close confidants knew about it.
The tea was too sweet, and the snacks too greasy. The man took a few bites and didn't like it anymore.
Aldana Candi sighed softly, "Do you want to eat something? I can call the cook to make it for you."
Philip Shaw didn't seem to have an appetite: "I'll eat later in the evening, I'm not hungry now."
Aldana Candi opened her mouth, then nodded after a moment, "Okay."
The man smiled and opened his arms to her, "Come here, let me hold you for a while before it's time for dinner."
Aldana Candi hesitated for a moment, looking at the smile on his face, reluctant to disappoint him, she walked over and sat by his side.
