Aldana Candi pushed the door open and saw Liam Summer sitting at the desk by the window, writing something without turning around.
She awkwardly watched his back, too nervous to speak until the man turned his head and gave her a slight smile: "Oh, it's you. You knocked so politely just now that I thought you were the cleaning staff."
He wore a pair of rimless glasses, and in the warm indoor lighting, his features appeared gentle and refined.
Aldana Candi spoke softly, "I'm here. What do you want to do?"
The man leisurely stood up from the chair, took off the rimless glasses from his nose, and placed them on the desk.
He seemed a bit taller than she remembered, blocking out the light, adding to the oppressive atmosphere. His eyes softened his facial features, but once he took them off, those slightly sharp eyes were revealed, making her heart palpitate in the shadows.
