Jane Sampson doesn't carry the usual airs of large family and clans, but has the approachability of a little girl from the neighboring house.
"Mr. Carter, are you nervous?" As Jane Sampson entered backstage waiting for her arrangement, she started to feel a bit nervous, her palms sweating as she sat on a chair.
"Not nervous." James Carter, surprised, noticed Jane's unease and asked in a lowered voice, "Are you very nervous?"
James Carter was surprised because, having known Jane for so long, he had never seen a nervous expression on her face. Jane had been participating in various international competitions since childhood, experienced all sorts of grand scenes; performing should have been common practice for her.
"A little bit." Jane Sampson raised her hand and gestured a little bit, "Just a little bit."
