The call came from an unfamiliar number, and James answered, saying hello.
"Hello, are you Jane Sampson's husband, Mr. James Black?" The caller sounded like a teenage boy.
Listening to the stranger clearly stating both his and Jane Sampson's identities, James did not immediately respond.
"Mr. Black, hello, I am the lawyer entrusted by Old Madam Sampton. Besides her will, she left some stuff with me, among which is a video she asked me to record for her before she passed away."
The caller was a senior lawyer. "Old Madam Sampton told me during her lifetime that when I feel it is time to make this video public, I should call and contact you. If you think there's no issue, I will release the video."
The lawyer paused before continuing, "The video content is related to Old Madam Sampton's beloved granddaughter, Miss Sampton. However, Old Madam Sampton said Miss Sampson is too kind-hearted and easily swayed, so whether to release the video or not, I just need your opinion."
