As soon as the phone connected, James Black's voice calling her and a question came through.
"What did you do wrong?" he asked.
Hearing his tone, Jane Sampson knew that this incident was, after all, unavoidable.
"I was wrong for being disobedient, sneaking snacks," Jane Sampson put on her best apologetic attitude, but then felt the need to further explain, continuing, "But I wasn't very disobedient, I just had two slices, really, just two slices, just the ones captured in the video, I didn't sneak more."
"James, I truly regret it, I'll turn over a new leaf, and I won't do it again." Jane Sampson whined, feigning pity, "I won't do it again, can you not be angry?"
Can you not be angry?
James Black was utterly at a loss on how to respond to her question.
When he saw the video, he was genuinely mad, mad at her for being disobedient and snacking randomly, mad that she didn't know how to take care of herself, and worried that she'd eat too much and feel uncomfortable tomorrow.
