Edward Jackson initially thought he would be displeased or simply get up and leave, after all, he had heard about Baron Lawrence's temper and knew that he wasn't the type to patiently listen to others.

Moreover, he spoke so bluntly.

But to his surprise, the man sitting opposite not only listened but also showed no sign of dissatisfaction or impatience.

Edward Jackson raised an eyebrow, a glint flashed in his eyes, then he returned to his usual self and said, "Of course, my dissatisfaction is my own, but as long as Enna likes you, I will support her choice."

"However, my mother is very uneasy. Also, you are about to get married, and you haven't visited us even once, which also displeases my mother."

Baron Lawrence glanced at him in surprise.

Was Edward Jackson hinting at how he should speak when facing Old Madam Habsden?

He thought it seemed so, yet he wasn't sure.

After all, Edward Jackson spoke so casually, as if he said it inadvertently.
