Chapter 472 - Chapter 411 : Ultra-Long-Distance Lantern Perception!!

The legendary Don·Freecss had just ridden off on his horse.

Everyone was still trying to process the information Don had revealed, each with a different expression on their face.

Ging looked at Germain with a complicated gaze. "What you said to Don… were you serious? You really plan to hunt the 'demi-gods'—even the 'Blood Moon'?"

Germain nodded. "If that's the only path left for humanity, then we have no other choice."

Ging paused, then gave a helpless chuckle and sighed. "You're right… I've always supported your decisions. But now that we're here, I'm starting to hesitate."

Bisky added, "Not knowing is one thing, but now that we know this planet only has a little over 500 years left… we have to act. Otherwise, it's hard to live with the guilt."

Shizuku looked around, clearly surprised. She didn't expect everyone to seriously plan to hunt down the so-called 'gods' of this world.

She blinked her big eyes but didn't object.

Since Germain had made up his mind—and Bisky and Ging were backing him—then so be it.

If they were going to hunt the 'gods', then they would hunt them. Shizuku had always been straightforward about things like this.

They had no plans to stay the night in the rainforest swamp. Instead, they gathered around the "Teleport Lantern" Germain had set up, each holding hands with one of the four ghostly children.

Now that they knew the power behind the lantern might be linked to the 'Blood Moon', everyone looked a little grim as they touched the ghost's cold, lifeless fingers.

They couldn't help but wonder—were these pale, hunched little bodies and twisted faces the result of a curse?

There was no answer yet.

Germain reached out and touched the Teleport Lantern. Just as he was about to activate it, a wave of dizziness hit him—

—and he suddenly saw something.

This scene… feels familiar.

He watched for a while, then recognized it.

It was clearly a bird's-eye view of the "Special Lantern Warp Point" at the top of the Ancient Labyrinth tower.

The faint moonlight in the dark night, the strange and orderly floor patterns, the hanging bronze bell...

Germain even noticed that if he focused, he could switch perspectives at will and observe different areas.

After a short test, he concluded that his view could move freely within a 100-meter radius centered on the "Special Lantern Warp Point."

That meant through the "lantern," he could see the surroundings. And even though the view could only move within 100 meters, the visible range was clearly much wider.

His "Legendary Perception" had somehow linked with the "lantern," allowing him to sense distant areas — far beyond normal range!

This sensation of connection immediately reminded Germain of the Nen ability that Don had mentioned earlier — "Chain of Knowledge."

Actually, it was more like the Nen ability of the late Kubi, but with far greater range and precision.

"What's wrong?" Bisky had been waiting for quite a while. When Germain didn't activate the warp and just stood there zoning out, she couldn't help but ask.

Germain explained his discovery — a new branch of his Nen ability — to the others.

Everyone was shocked again. They chatted about it briefly, but clearly, now wasn't the time for a deep discussion.

Germain activated the warp. Space twisted and shifted. The four of them instantly vanished from the rainforest swamp, leaving behind only the faint ashes of their campfire.

Buzz—

In a flash, the group was teleported back to the top floor of the Ancient Labyrinth tower.

Germain double-checked himself. No trace of any "negative traits" or "diseases." That confirmed his "Legendary Physique" ability worked as expected.

After putting away the "lantern," he looked around.

Everything matched exactly what he had seen through his "perception" earlier.

The night, the moon, the bronze bell, and the pattern-covered floor — all perfectly replicated.

With that, using the "Lantern Perception" was already a sure thing.

The four of them walked down the tall tower's steps while discussing how to use this new ability.

Their first thought was to use it to monitor and observe the "Revival of Calamities."

From now on, they wouldn't need to arrive early at the revival point and wait around for the calamity to return.

All they needed to do was plant a "Lantern" near the revival zone — then Germain could observe the signs and process of revival from a long distance.

Back at the ancient labyrinth's outpost castle, the rest of the group who stayed behind were quickly woken up by the noise from the returning team.

Knuckle, Menchi, Buhara, and Sanbica all came out one after another — Knuckle even rushed over still wearing his pajamas covered in little dog prints.

When they saw it was the exploration team that had returned, everyone was surprised and excited.

So fast — last time they went into the Steep Mountain Range, they were gone for five days. This time, it was only three.

Then they realized — back then, the team hadn't been trimmed down yet. Now with a leaner group, it had saved them two full days.

In other words, they had slowed down the team before. That thought made them feel a little awkward.

But that awkwardness was quickly swept away by what Shizuku pulled out of the "Blinky" — a batch of Nitro Rice.

They had already given Don Fifty Nitro Rice plants, and here were sixty-nine more — every one of them full and healthy.

No one had asked Don what Nitro Rice was good for or how to eat it — there had just been too much shocking intel thrown at them at the time.

Once Don rode off, they remembered — but by then it was too late.

Still, just like how they were meant to write their own records of the "Dark Continent Chronicles," they decided they'd figure out how to use the Nitro Rice on their own.

After a good night's rest, the next morning, they all gathered early and started running simple tests on the Nitro Rice plants.

At the same time, Bisky, like a storyteller, shared everything the exploration team had been through in the rainforest and swamp with those who hadn't gone.

Of course, the highlights of the story were Germain becoming a "Legend" — and the sudden appearance of Don Freecss.

However, Bisky didn't mention anything about the "Blood Moon," or even the existence of the "Outer Gods."

She brushed off the curse on Don's body and his departure with vague explanations.

Even the exploration team members who experienced everything firsthand were shaken by the truth—let alone those who stayed behind.

Germain and the others had already discussed it. For now, they decided to keep it a secret from the stay-behind team. Maybe they'd inform Chairman Netero later.

Still, even the edited version of the report left the stay-behind members in utter shock.

The experiment was underway at that moment.

First up was Buhara, who had the "Gluttony" ability. He ate a whole Nitro Rice raw.

"Tastes average, but… the nutritional value is really high. Really high. I'd give it an A+, maybe even higher!"

Buhara's eyes widened in surprise. His praise for the Nitro Rice might've been the highest rating he'd ever given anything.

At that moment, Sanbica used her "Physical Checkup and Hospital Records" ability on him.

After carefully reading through the conjured medical records, she came to a conclusion. Buhara's body was noticeably healthier than before.

That must've been a clear sign of increased "vitality."
