Chapter 127 - Last Chapter....?

Foara finally gather her senses in sheer indignation.

Smirk on Kara's face was infuriating.

A child had bested her, a literal child, wet behind her ears.

"Now, answer my question. Where is the Phantom Zone projector?" Kara demanded, her tone demanding not BS.

Foara just glared at her, her will steeled.

"So be it," Kara spat as her eyes began to glow red.

Foara hands stealthily reached behind, unsheathing her secondary weapon. The blaster glowed red as the red sun powered blaster fired straight at Kara.

Kara reacted speedily with a heat-vision to the blaster, but not before it fired its shot. The hot red energy clashed with body, sinking into her instead of spreading like a normal weapon.

Kara frowned, feeling her energy drop staggeringly. Her power destabilizing.

"Feeling weak," Foara rose, the molten blaster still in her grip, her expression showed triumph. "That was concentrated red sun radiation, made especially to depower you and Kal-El."

"You will still lose," Kara said flatly.

Foara lunged, full of ferocity.

Kara met her ferocity with her own,

Exchanging punch for punch,

Their battle raged across the ice.

The ice cracked beneath their feet as Kara and Faora clashed.

Punches blurred. Kicks shattered frozen ridges. Each impact sent tremors through the snowland, leaving destruction in its wake.

Kara wasn't holding back anymore.

Faora had underestimated her. She though of her as nothing but a blunt weapon power by force.

But Korra was more than raw force given shape, her movement revealed her intense training. Each action calculated to neutralize her. But there were rough edges born from unsurmountable strength.

Her fist caught Faora's jaw, sending the Kryptonian warrior tumbling across the frozen terrain. Kara didn't give her a chance to recover—she rushed forward, using her flight to propel herself at supersonic speed.

But before she could land the next strike—

A shadow fell over her.

BOOM!

Something hit her from above with the force of a Neutron Blast.

Kara crashed into the ground, ice shattering beneath her on impact. Her vision blurred as she rolled through the snow, stopping just before hitting a jagged ridge.

She coughed, shaking her head to clear the dizziness.

A new figure hovered above her.

Massive.

Broad-shouldered, built like a tank.

A walking fortress of Kryptonian muscle.

Non-Er.

His expression was as lifeless. Cold. Uncaring. Silent.

Kara growled, pulling herself to her feet.

"Really?" she spat, wiping the blood from her lip. "You brought backup, Faora?"

Faora landed beside Non-Er, rolling her shoulders. "You should be honored. Not many are enough of a threat to kill properly."

Non-Er said nothing.

He simply moved.

Faster than a man his size should move.

His punch came at her like a meteor, but Kara was ready.

She twisted just enough to lessen the impact, but the sheer force still sent her flying.

The next strike came before she landed.

Something hit her from above with the force of a collapsing building.

Kara crashed into the ground, ice shattering beneath her on impact. Her vision blurred as she rolled through the snow, stopping just before hitting a jagged ridge.

He simply moved.

Faster than a man his size should move.

His punch came at her like a meteor, but Kara was ready.

She twisted just enough to lessen the impact, but the sheer force still sent her flying.

The next strike came before she landed.

Faora blurred into view, her knee slamming into Kara's ribs, redirecting her into the sky.

Kara gasped in pain.

She barely had time to recover before Non-Er appeared above her, both fists smashing down onto her back like a hammer.

She plummeted like a falling star, crashing through a frozen plateau.

Everything hurt.

But she pushed herself up immediately.

The air rippled as both Faora and Non-Er descended together.

Kara exhaled sharply.

Two against one.

They moved like shadows in sync. No wasted movement. No hesitation. Each attack was calculated, meant to break her down piece by piece.

She had seconds to adjust.

So she adapted.

The next punch came—she didn't dodge.

She redirected.

Instead of trying to block Non-Er's crushing fist, she used her heat vision.

Not as a beam.

But as a force.

A focused burst of heat exploded from her eyes at point-blank range, knocking Non-Er's punch off course.

He stumbled, thrown off balance for the first time.

Faora took his place immediately, her elbow rocketing toward Kara's skull.

Kara reacted instantly.

Her heat vision flared again, blasting just beneath Faora's strike. The force sent her arm upward, missing its mark.

Then Kara punched her across the face.

Faora barely rolled with the hit, blood trickling from her lip. Her eyes burned with anger.

Kara breathed heavily, heart pounding.

She was getting it now.

They were stronger, but she was better. Fighting them were not annoying as Zion nor were they experienced as Barda.

She could read them.

The duo keept the pressure with their experienced combat, covering each others weak spots. But as the fight continued, their advantage slow chipped. Kara was getting better.

The storm raged around them, the battle tearing through the wasteland in streaks of blue and red.

Kara was holding her own.

Until Non-Er grabbed her mid-flight.

His arms locked around her torso, crushing her with the strength of a vice.

Kara choked, feeling the air leave her lungs.

Faora landed before her, her fists crackling with energy from her armor's adaptive servos. "You fight well," she admitted. "But you're alone."

Kara snarled, struggling against Non-Er's grip. "Screw you."

Faora cocked her fist back.

Faora punched with all her might, to end this fight. Kill a foe who could foil their plan.

And then it happened.

Kar suit activated.

The one Zion gave her.

It recognized the fatal danger, activating all its failsafe to stop the punch while activating the second protocol. The suit morphed into pure black suit with silver lining, constructing a few advantages.

She barely had time to process it before a surge of energy erupted from her back.

Non-Er's arms slipped apart as if he had lost grip.

His expression shifted—not in fear, but in surprise.

Because now Kara was stronger.

Faora took a step back, eyes narrowing. "What…?"

The reactors on Kara's back pulsed, glowing with white-hot energy.

Zion's suit had activated its failsafe.

A nano-fusion array—six miniature fusion reactors embedded in her suit's design.

She felt electricity rushing through her veins.

Strength beyond Kryptonian muscle.

Faora lunged again.

This time, Kara caught her fist.

And crushed it in her grip.

Faora's eyes widened.

Kara smirked.

Then she hit back.

And the storm exploded.

*****

The storm cracked open as Kara's punch connected.

Faora's head snapped back, her body rocketing across the frozen wasteland like a missile.

Non-Er's eyes flicked to her, then back to Kara.

He moved without hesitation.

A silent force of destruction, surging forward with terrifying momentum.

Kara met him head-on.

The reactors on her back roared in defiance, sending out a sonic boom as she launched herself forward. The very ground beneath her shattered, sending ice and rock flying in every direction.

Their fists collided mid-air.

The impact rippled through the landscape, sending shockwaves across the frozen plains. Mountains trembled. Cracks spread across the icy surface like spiderwebs.

Non-Er's gargantuan strength should have overwhelmed her.

But Kara didn't budge.

Her feet dug into the ice, her body reinforcing itself with the constant flow of limitless power.

Non-Er's expression barely shifted, but for the first time… he hesitated.

He stepped back.

Kara grinned.

"You feel that?" she taunted, rolling her shoulders as energy surged through her suit. "That's the power of a real sun."

Non-Er charged again, but Kara was faster now.

She dodged under his swing, appearing at his side in an instant.

Then she unloaded.

Her fist slammed into his ribs, sending tremors through his massive frame. Before he could react, she hit again—a hammering blow to his sternum—followed by a heat vision blast to his side, throwing him off balance.

She didn't stop.

Kara pressed the attack, each hit faster, harder, heavier.

Every strike tore through the air like cannon fire.

Non-Er grunted, his feet slipping.

For the first time in the fight, he was on the defensive.

Then Faora returned.

She came in like a meteor, her boot catching Kara's jaw, sending her flipping through the air.

Kara adjusted mid-flight, skidding to a stop in the snow.

Faora landed beside Non-Er, wiping blood from her mouth, her glare like a knife.

"You've charged," she spat, eyeing Kara's glowing suit with suspicion. "That suit.. its not Kryptonian."

Kara smirked, wiping the side of her mouth.

"You're right," she said, energy humming beneath her skin. "It's a Gift,... from someone very annoying." Her tone suggested she was enjoying this.

Kara's eyes flashed.

Foara braced herself.

Then they both moved.

The next few seconds were a blur of devastation.

Faora and Non-Er coordinated their attacks. Kara countered, weaving between their blows with newfound speed.

Faora's punch missed by inches. Kara caught her wrist, twisted—and threw her into Non-Er.

Non-Er steadied himself immediately. But Kara was already on him.

She dug her foot into the ground, using it as leverage. Then—

She hit him.

A single, devastating punch to his gut.

The shockwave tore through the air.

Non-Er staggered back, gasping.

Faora rushed in again, faster.

Kara's eyes flared red.

Heat vision lashed out, missing her face by inches but striking her shoulder, sending her flying back.

She recovered mid-air, her teeth clenched in fury.

Kara grinned wider, breathing heavily.

"I could do this all day."

Non-Er wiped his mouth, silent as ever.

Faora's eyes burned with rage.

The storm above them raged on, lightning flashing across the sky.

Foara silently signaled Non-Er.

They both lunged at Kara in synchrony.

Kara brached herself, ready to end this fight.

But unlike her expected, her advisory passed by her.

Foara and Non had decided to retreated as they confirmed that this fight was already lost.

Kara felt a bit offended as those two decided to run. Kara just shook her head and flew towards them. Her flight was faster than a second had Kryptonians.

Her power boosted by the reacted made the chase very easy. She could easily catch them, but She slowly fell back, her eyes till locked in her targets.

[Would you like to enable stealth, Ms. Kara?]

Kara raised an eyes as a neutral voice asked, "Maybe?"

The suit affirmed by forming an encased helmet around her face, very similar to Kryptonian armor.

The suit slowly turn transparent.
