Bang, Bang, Bang, an ancient drum made using the skin of an even more ancient serpent sounded, making the entire Wu Tribal city shake from the power it held. The sound filled the entire city and reached beyond that. Everyone in the city heard it, and it was rumored that when this drum was sounded, even the dead had to hear. This drum was called the Wu Battle Drum. It was only ever sounded when the Wu faced an enemy worthy of their full attention and power.
When the Wu decided to end the Han tribe after the declaration of the founding of the Second Empire, they did not sound this drum, or rather, this drum did not sound itself. The Wu Battle Drum was made in such a way that it could sense the current state of the Wu tribe branch where it was placed, and based on information such as number of deaths, time between deaths, life expectancy, karma, luck, and the sovereignty of the tribe's lands, the drum would then decide whether the tribe was in a crisis or not.
