As we entered the mansion it was as we left it, messy floor littered with trash, tables with unfinished food, and the smell of dust was everywhere. There were candles everywhere to light the place.
Ever since the apocalypse power has been down due to no one being able to manage it and it being destroyed due to monsters.
I walked up the stairs that creaked with every step, and dust flying around. I walked down the hallway that was long and narrow. As I walked by Jake's room I could smell the sex scented air. I took a peek inside and saw the bed messy and all sorts of other stuff.
'How do they have time to do this during the apocalypse?'
Then I entered my room, a single bed in the corner, a closet with clothes that barely fit, and a drawer capable of holding smile to medium sized items.
I went to the corner of the room and lifted the piece of wood uncovering a big black egg with scales all over it. I had found this is in a cave when we got ambushed by monsters in the woods. It was on a nest that had magma and obsidian coating it. There were 2 other eggs but I could only bring one. And as for why I didn't ask Jake and the others I knew they would make up dumb reasons to steal it from me.
The black egg resonated with me somehow so I grabbed it and stuffed it in my bag.
Now back to the present I picked it up and hugged it. Trying to use my body heat to help hatch it. I don't want to use my power because I might kill it from over heating and make a egg omelette.
After a while I put it near a corner where other items were. I had decided I would leave that night faking my own death and leave them a little gift.
I grabbed food, water, clothes, and other essentials for my run away plan. After that was all done I hid my bag under the piece of wood and headed down stairs to the living room where the others were.
As I entered the room I saw the 3 all on one side of the couch huddled trying to get as close as possible to Jake.
"I'm sorry Clark." Jake apologized while bowing in a 90 degree angle.
"It's fine." I lied 'What the hell is sorry suppose to do? Undo all your mistakes that you have done that caused pain to me.'
"Jake you shouldn't apologize, he got trapped because of himself." Aria scowled as she glared at me.
"Yeah Jake, it's not your fault don't be so apologetic." Charlotte added.
Only Jane was silent.
'Aria and Charlotte are speaking as if they weren't in danger as well.'
After that they started talking to each other like it wasn't the end of the world. I stayed silent on the other end of the couch.
As the sun fell and the moon rose we all went to bed. I made sure to grab an alit candle and drag Caprow with me. We had kept knocking him out to make sure he doesn't get up and that's why he's still down.
We reached my room and I dragged him onto my bed. I made him look as if he was sleeping. I opened the window and let down a rope we had.
After I prepared everything I put on the backpack and with one had I grabbed the egg. Using my other hand I picked up the candle and I threw threw it onto the bed burning him. I even used my power to make sure his corpse burned and he died.
When I made sure he was unrecognizable I used the rope to climb down, then I brought it with me and walked into the forest. I looked back and saw the mansion burning brightly.
'Knowing Jake, he'll probably make it out alive with his harem.'
And with that final gift I gave them, I left.
