Sophie Sullivan snorted coldly, stopping in her tracks.
"Come back." Thomas Shannon rubbed his forehead. Who on earth spoiled her like this? Always storming off at the slightest disagreement!
"Are you going to punish them?" Sophie didn't turn her head, her voice cold as she asked.
There was an implied threat in her words. But she seemed to have forgotten that she, too, was now under someone else's roof.
"Didn't you hear me? I told you to come back!" Anger tinged Thomas Shannon's handsome face.
Minimus Hart, her head lowered, felt a slight smile curve her lips. This woman thinks too highly of herself. She had served Thomas Shannon for so many years; how could she compare to some woman who merely climbed into his bed? Overestimating her own importance!
Sophie looked at the expressionless men in black blocking her way. She didn't need to think to know she couldn't beat them.
She turned and went back to Thomas Shannon's side.
"Sit down."
