Sophie was slightly worried. "Are you okay on your own?"
"I can do it," Fluffy Zane replied. She wasn't trying to be brave; she just didn't want to give herself an excuse to be weak.
After crying, life had to go on.
She still had to walk her destined path alone...
Sophie nodded without a word, then turned and left.
Once in the car, Thomas Shannon's face was still gloomy. Sophie rested her head on her hand, turning to look at his cold profile. "What's the relationship between William Guillen and Abigail Zane?"
"None of your business."
"Hmph." Sophie withdrew her gaze. "Stingy."
"Maniac, don't push your luck."
Sophie lazily turned her head to look out the car window. Not taking his words to heart, she replied perfunctorily, "Okay."
After a while, Sophie couldn't hold back anymore. "Where are we going?"
"You'll know when we get there." Thomas Shannon had no intention of saying more.
Since he didn't say anything, Sophie didn't ask anymore.
